3DO Retro Gem Problems - Can't access website to boost console performance!

Post by Rock Man »

Hiya!

So I figured out how to connect my network to the Gem. I am trying to increase the mhz to 65, the problem is I cannot access the website.

I imagine this is the address correct?

http://3do-retrogem.local/clock/conf/

So when I googled it said to access the Wifi set-up wizard from the OSD, push the X button to randomly generate username and pass. However there was already a username and password that said SSID (username?) and password. So I tried entering that into the website login, it didn't work.

What am I missing?

Also, I'm having trouble accessing 1440p on the Gem. I get a wobbly image on the Tink 4K, what setting might fix that?

Please instruct.
Wubba, wubba. I'm in the pink today, boy!

Maybe try SSID (wifi router name) and password again and see if it works.

For the 1440p issue, the Tink 4K can't take input resolutions that high. Ideally you use one of the Direct modes since you've got it plugged into a Tink 4K.

SSID is the name of your home wifi connection, that's separate to the credentials you use to log into the RetroGEM. Credentials are listed under "web user" and "web pass" on the Wifi setup page. You can turn authentication off altogether if you want to, shouldn't be much risk if its only you and family on your home network.
