Hi, I’ve got a Sony PVM 2053MD which I mistakingly sent a 480p signal into not knowing it doesn’t support it. Now I’m only getting the thick white horizontal line, no degauss on start up and a green light above the screen that wasn’t there before.
I was using a modded Nintendo wii with GameCube games which was set to force 480p, deflicker off and video width frame buffer. After this the screen began to warp inwards and after I tried resetting and turning the tv off and on completely went.
Just wondering if it’s even fixable and if it isn’t I’ve actually got another Sony 2053md so if I’m using it for spare parts in the future would it still be useful?
