RQ: Musha Aleste Stage 7 Hard Mode Midboss

The orange midboss that shoots two sets of missiles at you

My current strategy:
-level 2 orange sub weapon
-set options to “reverse”
-stay to the side and try to dodge/shoot the homing missiles

This midboss is no problem on “normal,” but I am having trouble figuring out a strategy to beat this nasty fella on “hard.” I can get lucky once in a while against it, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips to effectively beat this orange hunk of junk routinely.

Curious as well if there's a reliable strategy. I set myself to max speed and try to dodge and weave between the missiles since you can't reliably depend on destroying them. Easier said than done and I typically lose a couple of lives to this boss.
