Mahou Daisakusen on PS5

Hi there guys, I just got a PS5 and I was really excited about Mahou Daisakusen but I can't find it on the Australian PSN store, I was hoping you could help me with this one.
Has the game been delisted or is it not available on the Australian PSN store at all? All I could find was a Mahou Daisakusen DLC for Dariusburst CS, but not the full game. Is it possible to change the console's region to purchase games from the PSN store in different countries/regions? I know this works on the Xbox Series X
Apparently this game came out only digitally for the PS4, will it run on a PS5 via retrocompatibility?

I had the Xbox as my main console for a while, it's sad that most of the shmups are only available on Nintendo and Playstation these days.

It never has a discount so you'd might as well buy it as it is a great game. You'll need a japanese psn account and psn credits from play asia or Amazon.jp to buy it.

I will order a gift card from Play-Asia. I have done that before on the Xbox to get the Neo Geo shmups which are only available in the US.
Do you have any other shmup recommendations on the PS5? I will upload a photo of the ones I have so far

Do you have any other shmup recommendations on the PS5? I will upload a photo of the ones I have so far

R-Type Final 3 Evolved is exclusive to the PS5. Some love it (like myself) while others don't. Once you factor in all the dlc level packs, there are about 44 levels in all that you can mostly arrange in any order you like in sets of seven. Most are pretty decent too in my opinion.

I was able to create a Japanese PSN account and share the game with my primary account, Mahou Daisakusen is a great game and the soundtrack is amazing, too bad there is no physical edition - getting the platinum trophy was a breeze using the quick save/load feature.
Thanks for the suggestion guys, I have added some of the games to my PSN wishlist as they are mostly available digitally. The M2 ShotTriggers are awesome, it feels a bit unfair to pay so much for a compilation of 80's games but I guess this is the price we pay for loving such a niche genre.
I have seen a few lists here in the forum in older topics, here are some of mine (I left behind X360 and older stuff before moving to Australia, unfortunately)



I know you guys have a bunch of PCBs and other amazing stuff, would love to see your collections
