I found this sentence extremely funny.
Won't be laughing so much when he lands on Iran, something that has some actual support within the apparatus. Would prefer he stuck to nonsensical fantasy scenarios than that...
He did send his boss Musk to try to cool tensions, but seriously they're at a peek... he coulda not have torn up the deal we had with them the first time around if he actually meant any of that stuff...
We're about 16 months off from the human instrumentality project, it'd be an incredible and unnecessary waste of human life to get that war in right before the end of history.
smh
It's funny how much energy was behind guys like Trudeau and Vicente Fox and Tony Blair when they first got elected. And how much of a dog turd they all are now. If only our liberals could feel the same way about Obama.... sigh....
It would be extra hilarious if reality was melting all around us, and the democrats decided to run Harris or Liz Cheney again in 2028.
Feels so weird thinking anything any humans could do would matter by then.... calender doesn't even go up to 2028....
That Mom would sacrifice her son for Trump.
Trump wouldn’t give up his lunch for her.

Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
Liz Cheney would be the top pick for "fuck you voters." I hope the Dems go for it. Go all-in. They already brought in a cancer patient zombie instead of AOC.
Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
AOC is unelectable and regularly wanders into the left wing versions of MAGA delusions. The key difference being, human beings have a bias and natural attraction to MAGA slop.
She's completely out of touch and regularly offers utopian platitudes where nuance is required. It fires up the base, but it's not going to work at the polls. When they called Bernie Sanders those things, it was a smear. With AOC, it's true.
Of course, true believer MAGA fucks are completely unreachable and not worth a moment of thought. They are so ignorant of the political spectrum, they believe Hillary Clinton is an extreme left wing person and a clone of AOC. Stupid is as stupid does, I suppose.
Unfortunately, there are a few people that can be reasonable in politics. Nobody wants to hear reality or make any sacrifices. Compromise is a bad word now, because it's code for moving right. The billionaires and bigots win every negotiation.
Regardless, AOC has too many gaffes for my taste. Sanders gets a lot hate from the left, because he has a pragmatic side. Until AOC develops some awareness and lives down her reckless youth, I'm not interested.
Oh well, nobody will even listen. Hillary wins again. She poisoned the well and I can't make an argument without being branded a Hillbot. After Sanders, I can't talk about what's really over the line. It's so frustrating.

"I hate AOC".txt
If your brain didn't exist within the world of TV realism, you'd understand nothing to the left of Goldwater is getting elected in this country until the electoral shift from the world of TV to the world of the internet completes itself.
It's not going to require literally every single person over the age of 40 to die. We'll be there come 2028, if not the cycle after that. 52% internet people versus 48% tv people means winning 100% of the time. And the gap will only widen. They have to already perform a lot of election fuckery (2020's ratfuck voltran being a sublime example) to continue holding on to power.
Of course all of this human crap means jack shit since everything is going to be steamrolled by a giant machine during instrumentality, but it's fun to hypothesize about alternative timelines where humans still had any agency in their future.
Fuck, do people's brains crystallize in their 20's and never change.
"Gee I was gonna vote to give myself a raise but then she said trans people should be allowed to use the toilet so now I'm out." Who even is this imaginary person who doesn't exist? They don't even exist, and they're already voting for their ideal party: The republicans.
Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
I can give trans people the right to use the toilet quietly by enforcing existing laws, wave my hands, and dance off the stage--pointing at attorney general and shrugging my shoulders with a glib grin.
You don't campaign on shit for 1% of the population.
My problem with a lot of people is the unforced errors like "defund the police" and rambling on about open borders.
There's another thing, too: naive utopian exceptionalism.
It reminds me of Roger Waters blaming NATO for Ukraine. The ridiculous alternative reality where the American lefty still hasn't shed the "America is the center of the universe" mentality. In the left wing exceptionalism myth, everything that happens on planet Earth is a reaction to what America did--and (of course!) America could change it all by simply changing this or that--and every other person on the planet would go along with whatever policy or change the lefty suggests. Spoiler alert: it's always because of America.
We could destroy all our nukes and everyone else would say, "We don't want nukes, either. America was the only reason we had any! World Peace Forevah!"
Fuck.
Television, you say? Americans making television reels and saving the world!

Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
Pretending to care about 'what other people think' is such libbed-up bullshit. I've never seen a single conservative or fascist in my life give what 'other people think' a single consideration. (Could even imagine one of them ever using the words "Trump's too ooooold!")
Like how 'globalist' is a word to avoid confronting contradictions in one's anti-capitalist beliefs with how they're 'supposed' to think, 'what other people think' is a way to avoid confronting one's own preference (and comfort) to lose by running Liz Cheney instead of winning and giving everyone healthcare. That, or it's even worse: They're just repeating something the TV told them to think. A stochastic parrot, to a degree MUCH greater than LLM chatbots are.
Words go in, same words come out. Around and around the garbage pile ouroboros goes.
Once again, Frank Luntz illustrates how fucked in the head these people are. Normal people don't vote. People who believe in things (aka, cultists) vote.
"The world isn't ready for a bernie sanders".... fuckin' a, what do you think Obama's landslide in 2008 was about? Because he was charismatic, or do you think maybe the 'hopey-changey' shit had something to do with it?
They just love losin' too much.

Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
I blame most of the world issues on our monetary system. Like breeding to keep pensioners paid up by young uns paying taxes. That worked up until a point that the population got a little out of control but it obviously cannot continue forever as the population cannot grow indefinitely.
Like Japan and China will struggle/are struggling with this concept. Whilst the USA and Canada have really low population density, 1 rule doesn't fit all circumstances. But the monetary system treats everyone the same.
So what does a country do if it finds itself struggling due to this concept?
As a species we need to think outside of the box, not stay with formulas which will cause chaos.
With every problem, the solution is NEVER on the table.
I don't see the USA ever paying off its debt, I don't see enough homes built to meet demand (or ever becoming affordable), I see countries like Japan losing its population (it is currently 600,000 lost a year according to Google). I see climate change getting a lot worse before it gets better. All of these issues are because the monetary system is no longer fit for purpose and the people that make the decisions are immune because they have riches beyond most peoples dreams. We vote in people to government like parties and Presidents who refuse to tackle certain degrading scenarios because of the bottom line.. MONEY!
The "What about me?". Well those people are just asked to work harder, smarter, invest and trample over the ones that are less clued up.
All I am seeing on the news is a chess game of strategically taking land mass, securing as much energy resources as possible and labelling other counrtries as enemies when they are on the opposite side of the world.
It is obvious that on the current alignment of thought, that we will hit the crunch point where MASS suffering will become a norm for many. It might be something simple that you just live where wild fires spawn because nobody did anything about it. Talking doesn't solve anything and our governments are competing, rather that finding solutions. You need to eradicate that "competitiveness" before anything meaningful can be done.
It reminds me of Game of Thrones, where everyone is fighting for the throne, not realizing the dead are coming for whats left.

How to delete accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Threads?
Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
I'll just leave this here. Properly captioning it would require a book.

This is another shocking speech. After having built the social empire, Zuckerberg makes a series of shocking statements, disintegrating in a second everything he had done.
It is a really stupid thing, now social networks have no reason to exist, since they have become a land of no man and bots.

Social media has become a cess pit. Strange that fact checking is dropped the minute AI takes off. I think there is a monetary conflict of interests with fact checking in an AI world.Lemnear wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:29 pmThis is another shocking speech. But why create the internet for communication and information if we have then removed moderation from communication, and fact-checking from information? Now every news on the web is fake, whatever.neorichieb1971 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 12:05 pmSocial media has become a cess pit. Strange that fact checking is dropped the minute AI takes off. And then why is everyone deliberately going crazy? Trump blames a 7cm fish in danger of extinction for the fires in California..Putin is gaslighting the world (doing something and then accusing others of doing it, denying clear evidence without consequences, etc.)...but what the fuck is happening?
Where I am, it is becoming fashionable to beat up the police, because by law the police cannot apply violence... and if the attackers are foreigners, they cannot be investigated for racial reasons. This is total madness.
I think that life no longer has any reason to be lived, lucky you who at least enjoyed a good part of it.
Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
lol, Musk is a fake gamer. Incompetent Path of Exile 2 gameplay. (Stuff like going into a rift with a full inventory in a game about picking up lewts.)
That's so so sad.
Hasan saying "Republicans speak better to the anxieties of men" really compacted a general vibe I've believed for years. 'Nothing is more dangerous than a white woman's tears'? I think the sexual anxiety of men has easily topped that.
While cruelty and looting everyone else's treasure are also drivers, I think this one is definitely an essential foundation of these movements.
The whole racism thing being based on penis size. Wanting to go back to the 40's so they can have a chained-up wife in the kitchen. The gun fetish thing where their entire personal self-worth is based on how good of a violence-do'er they are. The fear of becoming homosexual if the cute femboys tempt them out of their incel lifestyle.
Well, R.I.P. to gay marriage. This would be the weirdest jackknife decade in history if the younger generations really are allowed to vote against the banks... assuming the machine apocalypse doesn't lead to an overly negative future.
Jesus.
No one has to live your life but you, and you simply do the best to make the most of it.
Even in the utopian future where the machines take over and the human species goes extinct from breeding with robots, there will be reasons to live. Even in the dystopian future where we're all turned into turtles and forced to live inside Elon cubes, some will be able to eek out brief moments of joy.
A mind cares about its inputs. Pour positive good shit in there and avoid things that make you miserable.
Doom is the default state of being. The ship's been breaching itself on the iceberg from the start. It's beautiful, in its own way.

If only that would happen. I have yet to spot a femboy in the wild anywhere! Fuckin' fake-ass internet, selling me lies again...The fear of becoming homosexual if the cute femboys tempt them out of their incel lifestyle.
