I recently got a Flatron RP-34FC35P, but it has a weird problem, it interlaces every signal I throw at it (Snes, psOne, Wii at 240p, Psp Go via component cables, etc). I've been told that it could be something in the Jungle chip processing the signal, and I've seen that it's normal on HDTV and EDTV, but my TV is 50/60hz and can only reproduce correctly up to 480i. The thing is that it's got PiP.
I've seen some schematics and I think that the processing might be done by the PiP module itself (its a board into a slot).
Do you think that the PiP board could do all that processing? Some people need to remove everything PiP related in order to RGB mod their TV, so I don't know if I could remove the board and maybe jump or bridge some of the connections for it to reproduce progressive signals correctly.
Here are some pics of how the TV looks and the PiP Board.
(I've tried to remove it but pulling it wouldn't work. Or should I pull it harder?)

Thank you for any help provided, this TV has very good geometry for its size, so it's kinda frustrating.
The TV has a MC 049A Board, if it helps.

Simply put, No.
You could remove that PIP board and I bet the whole set still works fine (minus pip)
I have done this to RGB mod TVs where the PIP plugs in.

Any sort of service menu accessible for this set? I believe Sony sets have a setting that can force 240p to 480i (guess it ignores or changes the field offset?)

Yes, it does have a Service Menu, however, the options are unclear, it uses very weird abbreviations that aren't explained anywhere.bobrocks95 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 5:00 pm Any sort of service menu accessible for this set? Still, I've played with some of the options but it looks like anything works.
This is the service manual for the specific Chassis (it has the same service menu options)

I can't find it in English either

Yup, I removed the PiP board and nothing changed, still interlacing the signal. It's a very beautiful set, but that's driving me nuts.
