RGB mod for a Toshiba MW24F51

Post by DeathByBFG »

Hi everyone. I recently acquired a Toshiba MW24F51 CRT. It has vertical foldover so I'm going to go in and fix that. I was wondering if this TV is able to be modified to accept RGB input. I found the service manual on elektro tanya. It looks like the jungle chip is a LA76324NM-MPB-E. If it is able to be RGB modded I'm not sure the best way to proceed. Anyone able to provide insight?

I don't think so. Those Sanyo jungle chips are usually set up for digital RGB in these models.

You may be able to do an S-Video mod, however. The DVD side uses it.

Was there a discussion somewhere on this in the past? I'm not bullying you for a link I'll do the looking for it! I have a swell Sylvania with VCR and DVD built-in.

EDIT: Found it!
