There is a specific build of Xenia just for this on the Internet Archive.Creamy Goodness wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:15 am Has it been figured out how to get the Mushi Futari Black Label DLC to work on Xenia. From what I have read here it does not work, but not sure if that has changed at all. Main game works fine for me, but not sure how to get Black Label to work.

Thank you. Gave it a try and for some reason it performs significantly worse than the regular Xenia. All good. It works fine in FBNeo. May just stick with that.Nugs wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 2:38 amThere is a specific build of Xenia just for this on the Internet Archive.Creamy Goodness wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 4:15 am Has it been figured out how to get the Mushi Futari Black Label DLC to work on Xenia. It is based on a really old build of Xenia which might explain the poor performance.
My PC is overkill for 360 emulation so don't notice it.

That makes sense. I am using a Beelink mini-PC which is decently spec'ed, but not crazy powerful.

You can install DLC in newer versions of Xenia Canary. No need for old special builds anymore.

Yeah, I was wondering what's going on in here as I've literally been playing the mushi DLC via canary on my deck earlier today (and tbh have been able to for quite some time, too).
In fact the deck handles a load of 360 shmups like a boss (at low power draw). Only thing I ain't figured is why dai ou jou black label extra has audio dropping out completely after ten seconds or so. Seems it's just a Xenia thing for that game.

Man I must suck haha. Can't get it working for the life of me. I can get all other downloadable content to work, just not this. What version of Xenia are you using? I have the latest experimental version. Only one I could really find actually.Stevas wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 11:17 pm Yeah, I was wondering what's going on in here as I've literally been playing the mushi DLC via canary on my deck earlier today (and tbh have been able to for quite some time, too).

This is actually the guide I used initially. Thought it might be a ROM issues, but trying a few different copies did not work.joeh wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 2:14 am You can install DLC in newer versions of Xenia Canary. No need for old special builds anymore.

I assume you don't mean on steam deck? (If you do, I can post more detail).
The only two things I can think of that would be pertinent to a PC install would be that you do need to install DLC and updates (and mushi probably needs both) via the emulator (i.e. you don't just dump them in a subdir like the games), and you may need to edit the toml config file to get it working (for example, licence_mask may need to be set to -1).

Correct. All those items I've done. All good. I can just use FBNeo for it. Thank you for the input.
