Fascinating to learn that Cave did make an improved and completed version of DDP-SDOJ for IGS PGM2 arcade platform but decided to cancel it altogether (does it still exist nowadays?). Too bad it wasn't properly released -- makes me wonder what the proposed retail price of a PGM2 SDOJ cart would've sold for in 2013-2014 (considering a brand new Cave SH-3 SDOJ pcb kit were selling at $2,400 usd back in 2012)?

Read the youtuber's comments in his own DDP-DOJ Tamashii PGM2 Youtube thread: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FB8hz6cwDWo

Thanks, but is that youtuber an actual source? I don't think that it's ever been officially acknowledged that Cave themselves even developed DOJ Tamashii?

It's well known that Cave developed DDP-DOJ Tamashii PGM2 for the China arcade market, hence it's official release there. Some folks were inquiring as to if the IGS PGM2 DOJ Tamashii release was considered bootleg but it's an official Cave arcade pcb kit indeed.

I don't think that's actually "well known" at all, more like "generally assumed". Being official doesn't imply that the developer is the original company, there you have KOF '98 UM Hero for the same system:PC Engine Fan X! wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 12:55 am It's well known that Cave developed DDP-DOJ Tamashii PGM2 for the China arcade market, hence it's official release there.

When talking about Taiwanese products, I'd pick everything related to development with a grain of salt.
