Grab that new-ish Darius Extra Version that was made for the Mega Drive and ported to the PS4 and Switch. I think its only on their respective Japanese stores.

M2's ShotTriggers line, like Sorcer Striker, never goes on sale, so just buy them whenever you want. You won't get them any cheaper.

The only way you can do that now is to have a PS3 (you can use a non-JP PS3 for this) and find the correct Japanese characters in the store search function to find the games. Again you'll have to use PSN pre-paid cards that you can buy from a site like Play-Asia to purchase these games.

A few years ago Sony removed the ability to buy PS3/PSP/Vita games from their website and made it all infinitely more difficult.

I got UK ps3 and did stock up on ps1 shmups before Sony uk made things harder to

Fairly recently I bought a bunch of JPN PS1 games with my JPN PSN account on PS3 (inc Zanac X Zanac/Thunderforce V/Harmful Park - I think they were Y600 each). I added credit with a voucher from Play Asia (as you do) and selected the store from the XMB/Dashboard, and iirc from there, there is a green icon in the drop down that appears which takes you directly to shooting games.
