Many thanks! In terms of where to place the IPS files, is it a case of either placing the Hi-CRC IPS files in the ED64/syscore/ips folder (on ED64 X7 3.07 firmware) OR placing the named IPS files in the same folder as the ROMs? Is one method preferable to another?

It would be nice if the anti-AA patches would improve performance a little on some games, like Pilotwings for example-- but it doesnt seem to in any, does it?

Because the files take up no space I made multiple copies of them in different formats.retrofan01 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2024 12:03 pm Many thanks! Some may want to use the included tools to hard patch codes or ips into their roms.
Most users will want the auto patching function without the clutter of ips files next to their roms which you get from using the named ips files, but those can be modded per game name.
You will find there are more game name based ips files due to this. Many hacked roms will use the same HI CRC.
I have included the 2 most common ED64 OS versions and already added the cheats and IPS to them.
3.07 is for the newest hardware. Im running 3.06 x7 so I hope I put them in the correct place for 3.07.
Just drag the contents over and choose not to overwrite existing files it should be safe.
I tried manually injecting the Gameshark codes into the roms, which works, but I kept getting errors when trying make an IPS patch from the injected files unfortunately so regressed to using the 40 odd cheat files to fill the gaps.

Digital Foundry tested GoldenEye with the AA patch. 8:40 in this video:

It does increase the framerate a tiny bit, but not enough to make the game feel any better to play.
