What's a good way to deal with this pattern?

Post by —dash »

Hey guys,

I'm working on Mushihimesama Futari 1.5, and I'm having some trouble wrapping my head around how I should deal with this seemingly simple pattern.

What's frustrating is that I'll kind of get the hang of it until suddenly, I'll start getting clipped multiple times in a row and not understand what went wrong. It doesn't seem as if there's any RNG in the pattern itself— it just behaves differently depending on your initial position, which is partly determined by the previous pattern. It's pretty frustrating to die to this thing and I was just wondering if y'all had any general advice for developing consistency. I can definitely 1CC this game if can dedicate more time to Stage 5 without feeling like I'm neglecting Stage 4.

The easiest way to do it I've found is to move so you're slightly off center, and dodge in the direction of the second wave of shots. I'm not sure if it's horizontal screen position that determines if the left or right side fires first, but whichever one fires second is the easier one to evade, and you just sort of hang out there and tap dodge accordingly to line up with the gaps.
