I'd go if it isn't on a weekday. Since I missed the last one it'd be fun.

I'm so in. How many of us are in range, anyway? I remember a long time ago I did an "LA test" on the old forum and there were only like two responses.

I'm in Mar Vista, along Venice Blvd. but a few miles in from the coast.

Heh, looks like there are three of us, just like last time.

Damn, dude, neo.com is your site? How's your personal collection? Mine is all packed up on the East Coast... :(

shmup meet in LA

Post by DeusFNL »

Yeah, I'd definitely be excited about going. I wanted to go last time but my damn school work got in the way. Hopefully, I'll find some time to go. Can't make any guarantees, but I'd really like to attend.

Slightly out of town here - San Diego. But schedule permitting, I might be interested. And if for some reason anyone in SD is reading, let me know...

Well,if you guys are definitely interested in attending, then maybe we can start figuring out a definite date and time and such?

I'm thinking sometime in May...perhaps the E3 weekend might work?

Well, I'm pretty much down for any old weekend. I'm quite close to where you are and since I don't get to game with others too often I would make this a priority.

I do have a vacation planned in May, so I would hope we could schedule it around that. But I would say, why wait that long? Will it be that hard to find a date that works for everyone?

Speaking of E3, anyone else expecting to attend? I usually manage to get passes last-minute.

I was thinking we should do it on a weekend when something else big isn't happening (I'm not going to E3, but others might) since we only seem to have 5 or 6 people anyway. I'm up for whenever.

Ok,here's the deal. At the moment,I've got 4 cabs, two of which can be tated at any given time for vert shmupping purposes. I also have a DC,2 PSTwos,GC,and a X-Box on tap if you guys want to fire up some console shmups as well.

SAWEET. I'm happy to bring along any console-side items we might find useful, though it sounds like you may have everything covered, BIG. How shall we plan this? You want to list vital shumps you _don't_ have and see what the rest of us can contribute to the party?

Thanks for hosting; looking forward to this...

Impressive, BIG. I do think you could have made it easier on yourself by listing what you didn't have. :) Well, I can contribute a few extra DC titles(Mars Matrix, Cannon Spike, Bangaioh come to mind). Other than that, if there's demand I can bring the SNES, CDX and/or Saturn so they get represented... also have a bunch of console sticks if we need those (Namco PSXes, Happ-modded SF Anniversarys, Agetec DC).

If anyone wants to bring a Saturn copy of DoDonPachi, I would love to see it.

So how was the LA turnout? Any pics? I was planning on going, but traffic was much worse than I expected...and I was getting my shmup fill at iconsx's place. :D

So how did the last one turn out?

In any case, count at least another 2 peepz in (my friend and I) for the next one (hopefully soon-ish :) )!
