Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
First new(ish) car since 2007. It's a 2020 VW Atlas Cross Sport V6 AWD, bought it with about 13,000 miles on it. We bought it for the 5,000 pound towing capacity, hoping to eventually get a small camper to tow with it.
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Makaimura goodies, Vignette game&watch, minky momo, sfc jr, tokimeki memorial, takatoku bomber x, tatsuo umeyima and one infamous Sharp TV walkman
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)
Not so much that I just bought it, as it finally arrived.
Looks like this ahegao Arsha figurine has a bit of the derpyderp going on. Also, the two soundtrack CDs are mislabeled: the remastered disc contains the original MD OST and the original disc contains the 3D remastered tracks. Neat... it's the US release of Strider 1 & 2 all over again.
I have nowhere to store this ridiculous box set.

I don't buy the big boxsets. Who has room for postcards, figurines and key chains and all that junk? Maybe if it was 1 big item like a statue of the main character, but most of these bits and bobs are junk. I've got 2 boxsets that have notepads in themKiken wrote:Not so much that I just bought it, as it finally arrived.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Getting close to completing my Led Zeppelin vinyl reissue collection. I know these aren’t anything special and that it’s probably better to get the old pressings. But whatever. I’ve been wanting these for a while and Walmart had them for $15 each. Plus it seems like every time I get vinyl in the mail it arrives damaged.
I don’t even needle for my turntable right now. So I can’t even check these out yet. Not really sure which needle I should buy either. Guess that will be my next purchase.
Spotted this Ken Follett book for just $9 so I went ahead and got it too. Guy has such a smooth and enjoyable writing style.

How much was the Ninja Scroll LD?caincan wrote: sure proxy is the only way from europe (ebay european prices are so insane ..), there online, some are really cheap but they dont appear so much (Oedo 808, still missing the 3/3), a Memories box LD or Macross boxset, is only 1€ ! just to figure +15/20€ en total fees/shipping. for the Akira ticket i really wanted it yep .. but auctions with the original ticket present are uncommon.. damn i missed in the meanwhile one which had the ticket.. :/
but since YJA cant be seen direct without VPN, it's pita to check easily sections. why hell did they blocked their auction site even in viewing mode ! damn..
previous package, but it wasn't that cheap for "Ninja scroll" which is sought after, "Manie manie : Hashiru otoko" is so intennnnnse , and the videoclip of Bubble gum crisis reminds so much of the "Streets of fire /Diane Lane" energetic songs
~1-3€ by LD, but these LD idols arts are so

It does, but this is one of the very rare cases where the English dub and OST are far superior to the original. Japanese OST is a snoozefest...Ji-L87 wrote:F*ck yeah, Cyber City Oedo rules

Picked up the awesome Lego set #75329 Death Star Trench Run mini diorama that has 665 pieces to assemble into a highly detailed trench scenery (plenty of "greebling" up the wazoo indeed). Even comes with a handy Lego brick tool free of charge (it's listed on the lego site for a whopping $3.99 usd). Very satisfying build at one's leisurely pace with this particular set -- got with a 20% off discount from the local Macy's joint that has a Toys-R-Us section inside (yep, it's back ever since the last of the traditional TRU stores shut down back in May of 2018).

ChurchOfSolipsism > the Ninja scroll LD was ~75€ winning bid (there were numerous bidders) before taxes/paypal/shipping..

A lot of Wink songs were covers. The idea was to dress them up like dolls from various countries.

I've actually seen Anki Bagger perform that here in my home town when I was 18 years old.SuperDeadite wrote:It's an official licensed cover of the Ankie Bagger original. https://youtu.be/fsWAIaotx3k

Seeing the jp idol mag and also seeing the Aerofighters 3/Tonk's Grand Getaway thread makes me miss rancor's delightful packages from japan, and of course the man himself. I see him around elsewhere, but I miss him here! He also sent me a disgusting dvd of old women swapping saliva, which I think I still have. <3

I collect cassette players (and other audio equipment). This is my latest pickup. It sounds fantastic and has Dolby B, so I'm going to start using it in my car. I have plenty of fancier portable decks, but I like rotating things around, and also to prevent too much wear on any one unit.
The watch is my favorite one, and I've had a version of it for a long time, but the Indiglo backlight crapped out a couple years ago. I just picked up a trashed one from ebay that still had a working backlight, and I transplanted the Indiglo parts to my old watch and now it works again.

Nice find, Bubblegum Crisis is one of my all time favourite classic animes. Great animations, great songs. Still holds up very well today.

Got an 8BitDo M30 gamepad.
Very comfortable, can be used wired or Bluetooth, and I also got the phone-holding clip. It was actually cheaper here in Huezil than in any US store, and the clip was bundled rather than sold separately. Really a good deal.

It's my third. Got that, and the OSTs for the first two episodes. (And it came with a gorgeous Scoop Chase poster.)cocoron wrote:Nice find, Bubblegum Crisis is one of my all time favourite classic animes. Great animations, great songs. Still holds up very well today.
I got burned on that Kimagure though... it has some extremely obnoxious commentary from the cast on the record, some of it playing OVER the songs, good lord.
