Is what I said. He also played the exact same role in Matlock for Andy G.

He was an ultra religious, so his roles generally fit into that family-friendly Hallmark Channel thing. If he had been 15-20 years younger, he would have been Kirk Cameron's lacky in some God isn't Dead rip-off or something.

LOL, yeah I was trying to figure out how he ju$tified that role. I guess he himself doesn't swear or kill anyone... not directly.

Commentary like this is why I come back here.

Today marks a dark day for action movie fans and Fast & Furious fans. It marks the anniversary of Paul Walker's death, when he tragically perished in a car crash. Just like how I remember May 17th as the day Yuko Mizutani was taken from us too soon from breast cancer, I'll think of this day for Paul Walker. Gone, but never forgotten.

I believe his dad, Herschel Walker, is set to speak at the memorial.

Truly a momentous event that shall be remembered by all. The beautiful lyricism on display was outstanding, shaking me to my very core. To be simultaneously fast and furious in life--breathtaking; a stunning principle that all foundations should be built upon.

Christine McVie, keyboardist and songwriter for Fleetwood Mac, gone at the age of 79. Of course she did her fair share of songs for the group.

I was hit pretty hard by the news. Huge Fleetwood Mac fan, and especially of the early 70s stuff that Christine McVie featured heavily in. I started listening to this stuff when I was just starting to become an adult, and it was incredibly important to me in my 20s. I used to curl up and read Maison Ikkoku tankōbons and listen to early 70s FM albums on repeat. Those were the days. :sniff:

I had a good long tribute night listening to her songs off of those. I'll link a few here for anyone who wants to travel off the beaten path.

Wonderful post. Image They're a bit of a rainy day outfit for me (the Peter Green records, I don't think it's any great innovation to say, feel like a different band... his "Green Manalishi" is some of the eeriest straight rock n' roll primacy I've ever heard, spellbinding - and quite a trip coming in from Priest's balls-out strutting cover). I tend to love McVie and Nicks' work, but I get sick of Buckingham really fast. At least I assume he was the "Don't Stop" and "Go Your Own Way" guy. :lol:
Beautiful maternal sound 3;

Al Strobel: Mike from Twin Peaks, aka The One Armed Man, aka the one that uttered the iconic "Fire Walk With Me", aka the guy that scared the living fuck out of me multiple times through the TV show and film.

So many of Twin Peaks' iconic players have passed on now. Image Makes me feel old, the early 90s is what the early 60s were to my childhood. Ray Wise is still kicking, if I recall, not to jinx the poor bastard.

lmao. gold as always.

In all seriousness watching many long passed or just passed actors from The Return was pretty sobering... all of them handled with pure brilliance of course by Lynch. The farewell to Catherine Coulson gave me chills. You got the feeling he really was saying good bye to a friend. So tactful.

Guess it's time to get used to 80's and 90's stars passing on, we are getting further from both decades after all.

I knew he looked familiar - was in Hamster's recent Toei retweet announcing Banpresto's entry to Arcade Archives via Mazinger Z. Even as a very peripheral follower of anime/manga, I know those oldschool OP/ED singers command mad affection, sorry to hear he went rather young.

To rub salt into the wound, Anime NYC 2019 could have been the last time I saw him, but my brother ruined everything by not pre-ordering the tickets...
