No problem! I wondered if you'd post a score, I remembered you said so mething about having cleared the game.

Really enjoyable game, was surprised by how much I liked it! Too bad MAME produces a graphical glitch after you kill the fifth boss; it can be diminished, but not entirely avoided as far as I know. Played the Japanese version in case it matters.

There is a good chance I might get back to this game, I played it safe and used bombs during boss fights without replenishing them all the way before proceeding to the next stage, I also didn't get the auxiliary helicopter in the first stage and thus missed out on easy 50,000 points. Looks like you might reap 100,000 points per life at the end of the game, I gained 400,000 points and had four lives left, don't know if that's a coincidence.

Congrats on getting the first western 1cc of this game and uploading the replay onto youtube!

I watched your replay, and I didn't realize how much of a difference autofire made for killing regular enemies and even the bosses as well! I'll have to try this game out again someday and create a strategy for the last few stages.

Thank you for the kind words - I will concede, however, that the paucity of clears has most likely less to do with the difficulty of the game and more with its obscurity (I've also no doubt that Kollision will easily clear the game on one of the other PS2 collections again at some point in time :)). The final stage can and (probably) will ruin some credits, but if you exercise proper caution you should be able to get past the rest of the game without too much trouble. Just don't rush ahead carelessly in later stages lest you get sniped by incoming enemies from the sides.

In case you want to go for some more elaborate scoring I'd love to know if there's a way to keep the support units alive in stages 3 & 5, that seems nigh impossible unless there's some trick to it.

I used to be able to keep the stage 3 and 5 helpers alive until the bosses, no idea how to keep them alive beyond that though.

Anyway, I think I played a few credits of this (at the correct speed) sometime last year and I kept losing it on stage 6. Game can be very unforgiving if you die, and the bosses are almost invincible at low power

Finished on my last life because I managed to die when the boss was literally on the brink of death but I'm happy enough to get the clear after all this time.

Thanks!

I feel like I could get a better score but this was a long time coming. There's a few more I should revisit at some point.
