System 16 might be worth a mention for hardware specifications and game titles/screenshots. Although, some of their hardware specs are a bit off...

Anyone got a translation of the DDP DOJ hard dip settings? Wanna set it to free play and play with the difficulty but I don't want to flip dips willy nilly!

Thanks!

It uses soft dips, just go into the menu and see for yourself, no need for a translation, just cycle through the available menu options, it's all in english.

Unless I'm missing something and you don't own the PCB and are on mame, in which case hold F2 for test mode.

There are soft dips...hmmm. There's also a set of hard dips on it on the side...was wondering what those did.

does anybody have any info on "Denjin Makai" dipswitch settings? I can not find the manual anywhere; Mame's driver source code does not have any info either.

Dip switches are physical switches that are soldered to a circuit board that you have to physically interact with to change their position. They were how you changed the settings on a lot of older arcade boards such as # starting lives, difficulty, coin options, and so on, before robust test menu options where you could do all that via a test menu button became the standard.

What dip switches do depended on the arcade board; there wasn't a common standard, so if you're using an emulator you need to refer to its dip switch settings menu to see what options are available, and if the game has a test menu, what ones can be set there.
