And if you put "TAS" in the title, those same people probably doesn't know what a "TAS" is either. There's only so much you can do, and some people will never be content because it's more satisfying to just condemn the videos. :P

If it doesn't say it's using cheats, it's using cheats. If it says it's using cheats, it's using even more cheats than they mentioned.

Even advanced players with a deep knowledge of games will have some type of blind spot where they can't tell if something is TAS without outside info. Not only the scrubs.

Check the level of point milking and AI manipulation in this high scoring Fatal Fury vid.

https://youtu.be/3QuDw-38208

2 perfects and 2 pixel perfect draw games per match to milk max points. Only highest scoring moves landed to apply damage. Extra points from doing a final move in the draw matches that does not kill bc it lands after the timer hits 0. Scoring bug triggered on Billy Kane. No mistakes over an entire hour long run. This type of high scoring run is pretty niche even for devoted arcade players. Can you tell me if this is tool assisted just by watching?

Add a Todd Rogers stamp on the thumbnail of each video.

Recently found out the longplay concept isn't an exclusively western phenomenon. Check out this Progear video where he miraculously no-misses to 2-5, dies once, and then doesn't bother finishing the game (?????).

Slight tangent, I once encountered a channel that did labeled TAS no-miss runs of Steam shmups and Touhou games, but none of them do anything really impressive or funny, let alone demonstrate the expertise with the game TAS normally implies. What's the point of sharing something like that? The uploader isn't getting any clout out of it and they're clearly not interested in giving the games any respect. It doesn't even have demonstration value. Who would watch it when there are better TASes and real players who have done more impressive things anyway?

Billy Mitchell, History's Greatest Monster™, is now being accused of extortion by the Donkey Kong world record holder who had backed up his court case. Also he didn't play a perfect game of Pac-Man live but claimed he played a perfect game of Pac-Man live, which is a bad idea when you're on camera. But then malignant narcissist brains don't work that way.

Billy Mitchell should be Trump's running mate in 2024. They're basically the same guy.

- Both are the best in the world at everything they've ever done.
- Both have never ever told a lie.
- Both have the most amazingly beautiful locks. Maybe Trump could even grow his hair out to match Billy 's 1988 WWF style mullet.

Why won't Hunter Biden talk about the server containing hacked Donkey Kong Jr roms? Washed up has been Angela Merkel used them to say she beat my scores. IMPOSSIBLE! Germany is a filthy dump now. They need a strong leader like my pal Putin! Disband NATO?

Rep. Millie Bitchell (R-Holyoke) threatens to pull US funding for Arcadia / GAMEST. Dems get no credit for highscore security because they don't contribute scores to TG

Man doesn't always cheat, but he makes sure to cheat when he's streaming online. What an absolute legend!

Anyone who thinks Billy Mitchell controversies is interesting, should dive into the rabbit hole that is his "perfect" Pac-Man game. The posts are listed newest first, so remember to read them in the right order:
https://perfectpacman.com/

Also RIP JC Harrist. Due to his unfortunate passing, donkeykongforum.com is now up for auction, which could lead to a whole new set of controversies.
