Radiant Silergun Saturn case question help

Post by aphexacid »

I bought another copy of RSG for Saturn since I had to sell mine years ago. Disc is great, but the manual and back insert paper have sort of a dull finish. I don’t remember what it’s supposed to look like.

But I see a lot of reproduction cases being sold on eBay so just curious.

Thanks in advance for the help

Well, if you show a picture of it, I can help you out more. I'll compare it to my own Saturn copy.

That's exactly how mine is, bought new and sealed from a Japanese collector circa 2003. I wondered if it was a boot then, too. Comparing with others over the years, it seems that's just the paperstock used. Not the weirdest thing I've seen (Bulk Slash's crazy adhesive front cover comes to mind).

I'd guess it's fine.

Bought mine brand new in 1998 at retail, the paper stock/printing is dull matte finish as you describe.

I don't have mine anymore but I remember it like that too and it was a legit unit.

Thanks guys. This is probably the most passed around Saturn game, you just never know. Some of these reproduction cases I see on eBay look really good and I haven’t had a copy for about 10 years now. So just wanted to make sure.

Got mine years ago and it came with all the inserts and spine, but besides that, everything else looks pretty similar to yours. Don't really see a difference. You should be good.

Don't have my RSG here to look at, but from memory that finish looks like mine did. Mine is also definitely legit.

Just to add to everyone else here: my copy is the same so I don't think you have anything to worry about at all.

You'll know it's real when you look at the section of the manual that has black on black text. If you can make out the characters clearly, that's a very good sign.
