Tate mode probs.

Post by Cranky »

I have been trying to play tate with my t.v's lately and the colours go completely warped. I've tried it on 3 different tele's and got the same shitty result. Tonight I tried it on a moniter and still got the same frusturating result.

Surely some of you guys have had the same probs and can help a fellow shmupper out. Cheers.

Did you unplug the TVs/monitor before turnining them and wait a while before plugging them in again? Sounds like you didn't.

yup, I think that rotating a monitor or tv 90degrees will invert the colors (not sure if this is on all monitors, but it was like that on my minicute monitor) The monitor just needs a degausing. TVs should have an auto degause, as do some monitors, others have a button for it, and some of the older arcade monitors don't have degause coils, so in that case you'd need to buy a wand. The process stated by ceph should work on a tv.
