Explaining jokes, huh. While the very current context is multi-layered and thick, I wouldn't think too deeply into this one. Most plausibly, a reminiscence about traditional announcement formula's literal meaning brought the above picture to artist's mind and there he had a weekly joke conceived.

Sorry if I ruined it for anyone else. I was really just curious because it seems like it's political humour localized to where you live. I obviously don't have the same access to daily news as you, so there will be something there I can't hope to "get." Or at least that was my assumption...

That it is a topical musing on papal ascension is good enough for me. Thanks for the explanation!

Stupid question, I'm assuming it's aimed at being single player so they're not going to go to the effort to implement this, but if you purchase two of these does it support linked/multiplayer games of Outrunners?

I think some of the fighting game ones have wi-fi option for online-play.

Did you know that "smiles" is the longest word in English? Because there is a whole mile between the first and the last letter :)

Not a shop, I learned about these for the first time this year. They're a cross between a yumyum and a doughnut and appear to be exclusive to Marks & Spencer (a firmly middle class place to do your food shop).

I assumed enough horrified people got in touch after Googling it, so they paid for it to be bumped above all the filth instead of coming up with a more sensible name.

Aha. That makes a lot more sense than a whole shop. I would think they wouldn't be able to get away with a whole chain called Yumnut.

On a unrelated note, I just realized that Link's nose got way bigger between Zelda I and Zelda II. I'm clearly late to the party on this one, but it struck me as amusing that they would make that change:

Gotta say I don't really understand the whole "royal family" deal-y-o. Sort of not surprised that people's who's whole existence is to be some kind of deprecated ceremonial figure are getting up to no good. That kind of "purpose" in life must be very deluding to the psyche.

Let's just say ANTHONY BOI (god damnit, doesn't really work, but I wanted the Chuck Berry reference! Mr. Berry also having had accusations of old pervery, albeit legally substantiated ones :o) has kept some questionable company in recent times, namely with one Jeffrey "Master Of The Flying Self-PWN" Epstein*. And it seems famous muck rack DAIRY MAIRU has unearthed some more JUICY DEETS that might make him look like an even BIGGER nonce! I got no opinion either way tbh but holy fuck if it were me I'd LAWYER UP.

Why hasn't he tho. That is teh question. >_>

*Or "Ep-SHTEIN," as me ol' mate and diehard hippy fantasist Jeremy Corbyn prefers to pronounce the famous dead nonce's name. That'll get you a stern talking to - almost as much as being a filthy rich nonce!

(Just pissing on a balanced swathe of Cuck Island, there. Royalists and Commies: eat shit. (■`W´■)凸 Now, rip into each other for my amusement. Image)

Oh well that's nice. :O Massive pedo who wanted CP legalised gets got.

But I'm more interested in his wacky backstory.
Before his arrest, Larson had run three times for public office in Virginia. In 2008, he ran to represent Virginia's 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, receiving 1.46 percent of the vote. He ran again in 2017 to represent the 31st District in Virginia's House of Delegates, and received 1.68 percent of the vote. His final run was for the 10th District in the U.S. House, but withdrew prior to the election.

He described his platform as "anti-feminist," with promises to legalize child pornography and polygyny, abolishing the state's Child Protective Services department and discouraging women to go to college, according to the Fauquier Times. He also wanted to legalize incestuous marriage and repeal the 19th Amendment which grants women the right to vote, according to The Washington Post.

In his 2018 political manifesto, which has since been taken down, Larson said, "We need to switch to a system that classifies women as property, initially of their fathers and later of their husbands," according to HuffPost. In addition, Larson also identifies himself as a white supremacist, promising to "restore... benevolent white supremacy," and calling Adolf Hitler a "white supremacist hero." His manifesto also said it was unfair for "incels," or involuntary celibates, to be "forced to pay taxes for schools, welfare, and other support for other men's children."
Blimey! A literal (yes literal, not figurative) Incel Pedo Nazi! Image

Bodies, I'm sorry to assume. What a cartoonishly evil piece of shit. It's like a Phillip Garrido or Ariel Castro who ran for elected office as a Virtuous Pedophile Nazi.

The sudden drop in bank robberies in the years following 1992 was almost as dramatic as their spectacular rise the decade before. Prior to the arrival of the Baby Bandits, security was not a major consideration in the overall business plan of the big banks. Spread out among them, losses from robberies were an almost meaningless line item on the annual expense sheet. Even the occasional big heist like the Tarzana robbery was not all that important to the bottom line. “They lose more than that on a single bad loan,” says Rehder.

But after particularly harrowing encounters with Baby Bandits, the banks were starting to see the entire staff of terrorized branch employees quit en masse. The cost of hiring and retraining all new employees to take their place was becoming enormous. And then there were the workman’s compensation claims from the former employees and lawsuits from customers due to post-traumatic stress or actual physical injury. By the end of 1992, losses related to robberies exceeded those from fraud for the first time ever.
