A new shmup running on Amstrad CPC 464 is in development, it seems to be quite ok speed wise.

The engine looks good. There's been a lot of new CPC development in recent years.

Doesn't look too bad so far for a 1-level demo but that boss fight needs some work.

Impressive so far. Looks like there's a fair bit of potential there. I kind of like the boss fight. It doesn't have a lot of variety, and it's a bit easy, but stage 1 bosses typically aren't supposed to be super punishing. I like that you fight it in stages, and have to take out the gun placements in sequence.

Looks really good for the hardware! I like seeing new games for old systems, especially if they look like they are pushing the hardware, or are on a similar quality level with the commercial releases of the time.

Anyone know what became of Bullet Festival, a wip shmup for the 7800 from a few years ago?

I had a CPC back in 88-90. Bless it. Had some good fun on that machine.

The scrolling was usually awful on its games - must have all been done in software with no hardware support. The scrolling on this looks nice and smooth though. :)
