Erdogan is a dictator who works hand in hand with his friends of ISIS and wants to recreate the Ottoman Empire, for which he sent out his pawns in France and Germany where he managed to place his network of influences. No possible comparison neither with Johnson, Duda or Orban who are not conquerors but conservatives.Blinge wrote:Erdogan is a fucking travesty.cvaniafan wrote: Erdogan on equal footing is an absurdity.

I'm not sure we can even call Johnson a conservative. He's a centrist populist who has totally lost any sense of direction since leaving hospital. They follow "the science" such as it is, purely because it is the path to the least possible responsibility.

I mean he's a conservative in the sense that he's a partisan of sovereignty. Really? I can randomly pick any speech over 3 minutes from the other two and it will be worse than any by Uncle Joe. Trump is probably still fresh in your mind. For W, you can always check out the archive to refresh your memory of how whorable he was.system11 wrote: He really doesn't, come on man!

Owning 0.00000000000000000000001% of the boot is plenty for the average lackey. Then you, too, can become a line cultist and support murder and slavery for your income. Apotheosis will be achieved with the effective extinction of all humans. At least it's a project with a clearly defined end goal.
The humiliation that a certain bunch of nerds will never forget. It won't be in the history books though; Trump will be a respected senior statesman as soon as the liberal neocons replace him with a new boogeyman. Funny how they're only ever allowed to have one (1) bad guy at a time.
Oh god, just think of all the historical sites in the make believe, science fiction land of full dive VR - the Gettysburg Address, the boat Frederick Douglass and his wife rode their way to freedom on, Four Seasons Landscaping.kitten wrote:it gets betterBryanM wrote:Ok, this is funny. Over the past year since I discovered him, Vaush has gone from guilty pleasure to national treasure.
Sadly Chapo Trap House, with the exception of "This is Sus" and other entertainment commentary, hasn't been enjoyable since Bernie dropped out. Yesterday's episode legitimately pissed me off, the way they were covering for Trump to own the libs.
This idea that you can't be a fuckup AND a fascist is literally fascist propaganda. Mussolini did not make the trains run on time.

I guess you might be inclined to think that liberals can be convinced to do good things. And maybe they can on small things - like reinstating regulations on coal plants to like... not poison people as much...Mischief Maker wrote:Over the past year since I discovered him, Vaush has gone from guilty pleasure to national treasure.

But on big things, no. The upper middle class will never give poor people healthcare without imposing a giant rent (or "debt", if you think of healthcare as a luxury and not a necessity) upon them first. The low class Trumpers that (I think, sorry if I remember this wrong) you tend to dismiss almost outright have more material interests in socialism than those who are well taken care of and want for nothing. I assume the bias on who one humanizes comes from being from a rural/urban background; you'll remember the county I came from as a kid was literally the poorest one in the country at the time. (You'll recall Hillary crowing about winning the states with the highest GDP.)
The generational shift will take place on its own, we're just killing time in the meantime.

It would be funny if it actually worked. They ask him to leave and he just says "no I stay." And then there's nothing they can do. They can't physically throw him out, that would be being rude.

I'm not worried about the individual Donald Trump, I'm worried about the actual deep state ghouls surrounding him. Many of whom have decades of experience overthrowing Latin American democracies in orchestrated coups.BryanM wrote:these are two senile sexual predators you're talking about fcs)
On the flipside, of all the potential Chief of Staff candidates, Biden chose the only one who was not a giant middle finger to the left!
As Sam Seder pointed out, Bernie Sanders endorsed Biden with way more enthusiasm than he ever could muster for HRC. I'm gonna assume Bernie knows something about the man that we don't.

Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
Seems far-fetched. What's the vig? Furthermore, without overwhelming support among younger men, a military coup isn't possible. When Biden cites the Constitution and orders Trump removed from the premises, they will comply.Mischief Maker wrote:

FWIW, coups in Central America work because of many factors that simply don't exist in wealthy developed nations. Trump would get no further than George Bush Sr's daddy did. Although, Trump and his cronies might actually face treason charges if they try it.

That's not the deep state. It's just the state-state. I mean, just because Johnsonville Brats don't show you how the brats are made doesn't mean there's a ghoulish deep sausage factory. Just the regular one, where ground up Marxist revolutionaries and drug lords who couldn't pay the rent on time are stuffed into intestinal casings.Mischief Maker wrote:I'm not worried about the individual Donald Trump, I'm worried about the actual deep state ghouls surrounding him. I didn't realize Rahm was in the running to be anything until AOC said something. I know everyone shits on Hillary as the most hated Democrat (by Democrats) but Rahm was genuinely despised by everyone in Chicago.Mischief Maker wrote:BryanM wrote: On the flipside, of all the potential Chief of Staff candidates, Biden chose the only one who was not a giant middle finger to the left!

Re: Prelude to the Apocalypse
Everyone between Rahm and Dick Cheney was in the running.
During this election Rahm had complete hatred and contempt for suggesting maybe tone down the "Trump sux" messaging and maybe tell people how Biden would make their lives a little better. He thought they weren't saying "Trump sux" loudly enough and needed to spend even more money telling people this important message that'll change their lives.
During the 2016 primary season Sanders found it very important to let people know he was "very proud" to not have Rahm Emanuel's endorsement. And he also let people know he endorsed his opponent, Jesus Garcia, by pointing at him and saying "this was my guy."
It's kind of funny Garcia's opponent this year was also named Jesus; it's like the republicans were desperately hoping people would get confused.

Don't mention it on shwitter or you might get censored like Ollie Vargas. Besides, the benevolent corporate media told me that Morales is a dictator and the opposition is "democratic" which simply must be true.I'd feel remiss if I didn't mention Evo Morales' triumphant return to Bolivia one year after the military coup.

Biden's "do nothing" first 100 days plan guarantees full GOP control of the government in four years.
"No deportations" for 100 days is ridiculous (and cruel). First, it implies that open borders are a realistic policy and the doors are open (both untrue). Second, the Obama administration held the record for deportations before Trump took over. Nothing has changed. The circumstances that created the exodus to America's southern border aren't going anywhere. So, the "no deportations" declaration is window dressing. It means "I'll quietly deport you after 100 days". It's a do nothing promise. It's a do nothing agenda. The deportations will continue.
Enjoy pretending the Clinton years are back for the next two years. Eventually, there will be a price to pay. I'm sure centrists will have a million bullshit reasons to blame me for their lame disconnected, tone deaf, self-serving, corrupt, and impotent Washington insider status quo administration and their "sit here, do nothing, and remind everyone my name isn't Trump" plan.
