I wonder if any of you guys know more about this than I do (pretty likely): on the Visco website, for both of the Vasaras, on the page where it shows the types of items found in the game a 1-Up item is displayed. Has anyone ever seen/obtained this item? I myself have never seen it in either game, and have no clue where to look (maybe I just need to get farther in?). Maybe there's a hint on the Visco page....anyone up for some translating? Also, does anyone know if the game gives you any score-based extends? I've certainly never scored high enough to find out.
Oh, and I also have a small improvement in Vasara 2, Easy mode:
BulletMagnet - 3,277,490 - 4 - 98 - Mitsuhide
That stage 4 boss is my current roadblock...though I often die a stupid death or two on boss number 3.

Wow, all the way there? Yeesh...I guess these things do have more in common with Psikyo than I thought, since they make you work most of the way through the game before finally tossing you a (single) bone, heh heh. Maybe I'll credit-feed the games to try to confirm that...I suppose it's also worth mentioning that, if there are no score-based extends to be obtained, the socring system in the games can be firmly labeled "Optional," i.e. it's not necessary to exploit it for survival's sake, making them a bit more accessible.

I didn't break 800k until stage 6, which shows how bad this run was compared to my previous, scoring wise. However, I got to the final boss! I think this game is within my 1CC reach now, once I learn how to dodge some of his nasty bullet spreads...

I honestly never watched the score tally closely enough to notice...I haven't heard of this before though. I'll make a note of it...javel wrote:So, does it matter how you kill the bosses? I seem to get more point when I take out each form with my special attack, is it the amount of bullets you reflect?
IIRC the only thing it tallies are your "prestige kills"...in each stage there are certain enemies with flags on their backs (plus bosses and mini-bosses), if you kill them a piece of paper with his name on it appears. The more of these you kill during a stage the more bonus points you get (I think you get some extra points if you pull off a "perfect"). I think that's about the only thing the game tallies at the end of a stage...Also, I have some trouble understanding the bonus screen after each stage.
Thanks for clearing that out. Too bad that these points are nearly worthless, a "perfect" stage 1 gives me a whooping 7.800 pointsBulletMagnet wrote: IIRC the only thing it tallies are your "prestige kills"...in each stage there are certain enemies with flags on their backs (plus bosses and mini-bosses), if you kill them a piece of paper with his name on it appears. I noticed that scratching bullets give you some points as well, not much though and I´m not in the mood for long boring milking sessions.

Had three lives going into stage 6. The mid-boss on stage 5 drops an 1-up item if you kill it fast enough (I used a bomb). I find the fifth stage much easier than the fourth.
