Yeah, and Ramjet, Thundercracker and Soundwave take blasts square to the chest from Prime's gigantic fuckoff rifle, to zero lasting effect, while a random Constructicon's sidearm blows Prowl's guts out his mouth. (said rifle making Megatron shit his pants when it was pointed at him)

Image

Actually wait, Thundercracker got shitcanned out of Astrotrain with the other casualties, didn't he. Score one for consistency! Image Still got nothing on Brawl and Prowl eating shit with 1HKO apiece!

The usual fanon is "Decepticons are tuff war machines, Autobots are shitty civilian gear" but we all know it's just kids arguing in a sandbox. ;3 Blur always won in my backyard!

I'm not sure how into hip hop/rap you are, if at all, but I think you would appreciate this:

https://propsdept.bandcamp.com/track/cy ... s-by-bnutz

Song about Transformers from a guy who knows his stuff. And as it turns out can rap really well.

Speaking of - have you watched any of the GI JOE that has been streaming on Youtube? That show is hilariously awesome/bad.
My lord, I have come for you.

I can only watch G1 Joe and TF in small bursts - I love them dearly, but yeah... I love blasting the movies every five years or so, though. Some real quality and passion went into 'em, as did the toys they were made to sell. I've never been a collector but I definitely see the appeal. Larry Hama always seemed like a cool cat. Fond memories of reading the dossiers with my uncle, a mild military buff who'd explain "small arms" "NATO" "Willy Pete," etc. Jeeze that last one sounds wrong, but not as wrong as what ol' Willy does to human flesh!

Vince DiCola's TF movie OST genuinely rocks, that shit is shmuppin as fuck. By happy accident the copy I downloaded for my MP3 player has the tracknames off by one, so the first battle theme is now GONE FISHIN' and makes me think of Thunder Force/Raiden even more than it already did. Image

"How does Alpha Trion grow a beard"

I was thinking of this old favourite the other day.

An attempt to become viral, I suppose. You are posting it away on a videogames forum, aren't you? So that's how things work these days.

Carmen M. Cusack, JD, PhD wrote:Many song lyrics and music videos are metaphors (Heine, 2009). They hint at, and sometimes seem explicitly to refer to, bestiality. Well-known examples include "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot... and "What's New Pussy Cat" performed by Tom Jones
Sir Mix-A-Lot refers to a female as "hun" meaning "honey," an animal byproduct, which can be consumed
The lyrics express deep affection for a cat. Jones admires the cat's beauty; and he is excited to make sexual contact with the cat.

Don't have anywhere else to post this, but I just finished researching every PS2 game. I used this video as a guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixeRUJQ5yPc

The PS2 is the biggest game library for any console, so this was quite an effort that took several months. I also finished researching the PSX library which is second place on the list of biggest game libraries, although that was awhile ago (Last March).

I'm planning on doing this for every major game console and handheld, although I might not finish any year soon .. if ever.

After having ignored people telling him to do so for the better part of a decade, the CRPG Addict finally plays a JRPG he likes:

http://crpgaddict.blogspot.com/2020/06/ ... -1987.html

He notes the game's polish compared to other console offerings of the era and even praises its combat system, remarking that it had an "intriguing complexity". Granted, he still shoots himself in the foot by taking a thief and forgoing black magic, but progress is progress. It's just nice to see someone in 2020 appreciating the original Final Fantasy for what it is instead of making the usual "didn't age well" and "nobody knew how to make games back then" comments (not that most of the titles he's played from this time period wouldn't receive that criticism from the average Super Mario Emblem Automata player anyway). I like that he's able to see the thought that went into its borrowing of mechanics while also recognizing that it is indeed grindy as heck.
The Ancient Land of Ys, Sorcerian, and now Final Fantasy feel like whole products in the way that their predecessors do not. That doesn't mean that they're original; Final Fantasy, as we'll see, is mostly a composite of several American RPGs, particularly Wizardry, Ultima, and Phantasie. But when borrowing elements from a previous title, there's a difference between doing it blindly and doing it craftily. In playing most clones, you get the sense that the developer of the clone didn't know any better; that he included an element because he couldn't think of an alternative; that he didn't have enough experience with the scope of previous RPGs to truly understand when something works and why. Final Fantasy is something of the opposite. It strikes me as a product of someone who has really analyzed the best American RPGs and has deliberately created a composite of their strongest characteristics.
