I will add a Hard Mode board if there are scores, but might just keep that as a general board instead of this ocd nightmare of scoreboards above. Note: Ode/OZ is a DLC character that you need to purchase online. I am not sure if the special body-pillow mega editions of Sisters Royale include her as a bonus. EDIT: apparently the Strictly Limited edition has her already included.

This game is actually quite good, so give it a shot! It has a pretty nice difficulty curve and it's easy to jump in if you are newer to the genre. Get close to enemies, raise the sibling tension, and grab them coins!

Post scores in this format:

I enjoy playing as Nur the most and I find it easier to maintain high tension and uncovering fairies with her familiar. The spinning familiars do make it hard to damage some things quickly, however.

Already with a clear on the board, nice! And a Hard Mode board just for you  I'm no good using Selma since I have the stupid urge to spin the blades around and run into bullets rather than stay put like a smart boy.

I'll try to brush up on my Nur score later today, maybe I can finally get to stage 5...

Nice, ALLs in both Normal AND Hard! You had a lot of great info and impressions in the main thread so I figured it to be a matter of time before your scores came here, Kiken. Those extra treasure chest coins must really make the difference when it comes to scoring between Normal and Hard!

Looks like you had some pretty healthy bomb use in your runs as well. I can imagine that the last boss or two used up at least 4 or so

Yeah, it came down to finally hooking up the capture card and grabbing some screen shots for verification.

The big difference in scoring potential between Normal and Hard boils down to all the suicide bullets allowing you to maintain 8x far more easily. Normal feels very restrictive in comparison.

With the TLB, I find his angelic form to be far more annoying than his demonic form (I get trapped more easily by some of the angelic form patterns... the demonic patterns feel more like classic Shikigami).

Nice job Bloody! Especially on that cool 20,000+ coin collection

Three clears with Sonay; maybe she's easier overall to beat the game with thanks to her familiar... IIRC, I think Serraxor's Bullet Heaven video mentions that the PS4 version has a little less slowdown than the Switch so that might be what you're noticing. Strange, since the game was originally made for Switch. It shouldn't make too much difference however.

Do any of them play like Shikigami characters(since this is basically Shiki IV), or is it completely unique?

For sure, calling this game "Shikigami 4: Harem RomCom Edition" is pretty accurate.
Sonay is a clear stand in for Kohtaro with a similar, seeking familiar.
Selma is this game's Kim Dae Jeong, with three blades protruding that you manually spin.
Nur is similar to Sayo Yuki (with two spinning familiars orbiting her)

As far as I can tell Ece and Lale don't have analogs to the Shiki cast, but I am not familiar with Shikigami 3 (wish it would be ported again; it looked so good...). I haven't tried out the DLC character Ode so I don't even know what she plays like.

I'd have to play it to be sure, but one of them looks like Niigi GB, has a familiar that absorbs shots to charge a counter shot.

Looks like Ode is (unsurprisingly) Fumiko.

Wow, the pieces come together when I see her in action. Identical shot style, same clothing + a mask, ha ha. Alfa System games are no strangers to having characters from alternate worlds/games take place in other ones, after all. I might get the DLC now just to add my fav Shiki char to the roster.

I still haven't beaten Lale's boss fight (starting to really piss me off, lol), but I continue to improve! Playing as Nur is so much fun. You end up using her familiars almost all the time (at least I do) trying to get as many x8 as possible. Very addicting.

EmperorIng, you can try to use a bomb or two during Lale's fight and focus on using Nur's Power Shots rather than summon attacks.

Nice job with the score and clear! And thanks for the advice Sturmvogel. I actually did finally manage to beat Lale the other day by just spamming bombs in a panic, but the resulting score was lower than the one I posted above! I want to work a little harder to have a proper new best on Stage 5.

Finally! This was about as perfect a run I could hope for the first 3 stages. 4 had a few too many panic bombs which left me high-and-dry in st5. I had enough for a planned bomb against the stage 5 midboss' "fuck you laser" attack. I was hoping to pick up one more extend, but cracking 2 billion is a pretty respectable new best. Given where I was (scorewise) and how I still had half a stage to go, I think I'll be passing up some of you guys without too much trouble on my way to the clear

I also own this game (currently -50% on eshop) and will certainly try to score it a little.

If I understand correctly, the scoring system in normal comes down to :
* graze bullets to trigger x8
* do not get hit to not loose the 10K value on coins
* uncover the fairies to trigger temporary x16

Are there some parts I am missing ?

That's the basic gist of it. Bosses and certain enemies have destructible bullets you can milk for your multiplier. It's important to not get hit so as to keep the coin value high. I think you lose a chunk of coins on each hit too, but I have to pay closer attention.

Each stage has two fairies to uncover, and will grant you a limited doubling to your multiplier, so you make it count by getting as much 16x as you can.

In hard mode there are additional treasure chests filled with coins. You want to hit them while grazing (or with a fairy) to release 8x or 16x the amount of coins. This is also why Hard scores are magnitudes larger. But - as has been mentioned - Hard mode adds one extra phase/life bar to bosses, and enemies fire suicide bullets.

Made some nice (but minor) improvements and got to Ece's boss fight! Had I not had a dumb death here or there I think my score would have put me in the top5 on the global rankings. Nonetheless, it is enough to bump me past Jeneki and Bloody, even though I don't have the clear 8) Some friendly competition then!

I tried some runs too, questions :

* bosses phases seem to drop more or less coins depending on some factor, is it time based ? I noticed I always get more coins with Sonay than with Nur.
* where does the big difference in score come from ? I mean the top player has a normal 4 billions run when I can barely get at 2 billions with what looks like a perfect run : no miss, trigger the x8 and x16 for the most time possible. I can not see what could double this score.

How many coins they drop depends on the multiplier you kill them with, x8 for the most.

Just got this game a few days ago anyway, will post a score soon.

Bought it this week yes. Clear normal is not hard, really. I made some runs in easy until nmnb to learn ennemy placement and mechanics, then about 10 runs in normal.
Sonay is also way easier then nur too.

So it looks like the x8 bonus affects 2 things :
* the number of coins released by each enemy killed
* the value of each coin you catch.
So x8, if you can maintain it, is actually x64 since you release 8 times more coins giving each 8 times more points.
And following this logic, x16 is x256 hence the massive score boost it gives sometimes.

Random things :
* only the last bar of a boss/midboss allows to both release and get coins at x8. This is because the previous bars give a bullet cancel when destroyed, preventing to catch coins at x8. This is why the Kiken strategy to use the fairy on the last phase seems optimal.
* enemies that dont shoot can still give multiplier, just get close to them.
* Sonay is actually not affected by the fans in stage 3 as long as shes uses summon shot and moves ? Beware not to stop moving though !
* Stage 1 only has 1 fairy before the boss ?
* Sonay can release a fairy in stage 2 (and maybe stage 5) with her summon shot, which is usually not possible sinde fairy are considered an obstacle and thus not targeted by her summon. Any explanation ?

Nice job! I recently got 2.6 billion up to Yashin's first form but I want to have a few more goes at getting the clear with Nur. Nice to have more competition.

As for scoring, thanks for bringing up a few points. On Normal the last phase is the only that triggers a coin drop based on multiplier, as you noted. I don't know if this is different on Hard mode, which adds an extra phase/life-bar for bosses and midbosses (aka the cube crew) - I say that because despite having a new 'final' phase, the original final (now the 3rd out of 4, if that makes sense) has the most destructible bullets, which means more chances for x16 milking. I haven't played Hard mode enough to see which is more lucrative.

I am not sure if you are actually getting 8x8 the amount of coins; I'd have to watch some replays in order to really see what's going on.

Boss phases nonetheless can still end with a multiplier, so it's good to get as many x8 bonuses as you can, especially once you get the coins to their max 10,000pt value.

As you noted, proximity to enemies can substitute for bullets. With Nur's familiars, this is how I can maintain a lot of x8 bonuses by get close to enemies and quickly tapping my familiar button and getting some hits in.

Every stage as 3 fairies. One before the midboss, one after, and one in the boss arena itself. Some are more hidden than others. Stage 1's second fairy is right after the midboss, hidden above the tree to your left (by one of the destructible graves). Fairy locations are marked by a faint shimmering or sparkling on the ground. This is not always easy to see (like in Lale's dark arena!).

As for Sonay revealing fairies, my guess is that those two instances enemies are overlapping the fairy location (the large yeti in st2, and the phantoms in st5) and as her familiar is attacking those enemies its attack overlaps the fairy reveal spot.

Finally, as for score, while I am not sure how 4billion is achieved yet, I can easily see 3billion being an optimal score with as few deaths as possible (dying and resetting the coin value can really put a dent in your score). I end the first stage with 500 million, and on average get about 500m per stage. If I can make it with fewer deaths and a clear, a 3 billion clear doesn't seem out of the ordinary. Otherwise you want to prolong the boss phases with destructible bullets as long as possible (on Normal e.g. Sonay's final phase, Selma's final, maybe Lale's second phase with the ghost spam).

I'm not happy with this but I'll post it for now since I'm on a computer right now and it's easier for me to post pictures. I did this on Saturday then I played loads of credits yesterday and couldn't beat it, I was on course to beat it quite a few times and I kept making a mess of it.

Here's what my score progression roughly looks like:

Stage 1: 500m - 550m
Stage 2: 1.1bn - 1.2bn (best ever= 1.28bn)
Stage 3: 1.7bn - 1.8bn (usually under 1.8 )
stage 4: 2.2bn - 2.3 bn (if less than 2.3 then I've screwed up)

I can milk bosses 1,2 and 3 well enough but I'm definitely underperforming on Lale 2nd phase.
