X Station - possibly a new ODE for PS1

It's being teased but lots of people are guessing it's a PS1/X ODE.

I have a PSIO but it being quite finicky has put it low on my list of things to get around to installing. Hopefully, it's as good as the Fenrir if it is a PSX ODE.

It's not by 8BitMods. They would be the distributors for it.

There was quite a bit of drama around this after Cybdyn (PSIO makers) responded defensively to this by showing their prototype ODE.

The nice thing about the Cybdyn one is that it will supposedly be an inline ODE, leaving the original CD-ROM in place and functional (as all ODEs should). According to them it will work on unmodded motherboards as well as those already modified to work with PSIO.

Hopefully this one will be the same in both regards.

Please yes! The only reason I haven't gone the psio route is holding out hope for either an ode solution or a mister core, whichever comes first. I just want a solution for ps1 so badly, I don't how much it costs I'm willing to pay big time for anything that works well.

This only supports PS1 models up to the PU-18 (SCPH-550X). Also seems to totally replace the CD drive.
