Checked the E-shop from UK, its at the regular price. But yes, if you want, you'll have to create a separate US Nintendo regional account, and US e-shop credit, you can get this for cheap.

Reading the translation says they're permanent price drops rather than a sale.

I've been on the fence about Sisters Royale, but it going down to $8.50 and being able to just grab it with points sealed that deal...

I ended up liking this one quite a bit. It's a shameless Dodonpachi cover-band, but it has enough charm to be worth some time. If I could just turn off those damn globs of crap that are constantly siphoning into my ship (instead of just toggling opacity) it would get some regular play on my Switch. After clearing it on Normal, I wanted to go for Hard mode but ended up drifting to other games.

I think it's better to wait for the Golden Week on Steam. it should start 29th.

Eh, it's historical low price for three of the games, and two others it's the lowest price its been in like 3-5 years.

I would not advise waiting except for maybe DariusBurst and Astebreed. edit: since the sales apparently overlap it doesn't really matter.

1. None of these games are at historical lows, you can check yourself at gg.deals
2. Steam has even cheaper bundles + soundtracks (for example you can buy Cave packs with additional discounts)
3. Humble is euro only (at least for me) and it has way higher default prices compared to regional pricing on Steam

So yeah, unless you have the 10-20% discount for Choice subscribers it's much better to wait and buy those games directly through Steam.

Dude, that's literally where I was notified of the deals. According to that site DDP, Deathsmiles, and RefRain are at historic lows. Not sure why you're busting my balls. Humble is NOT euro only. It's based in the US.

Sheesh.

Well, I get the prices in € which is around 10-15% more expensive than my regional pricing on Steam (pln).
But you're right, I checked the $ prices on gg.deals and some are indeed historical lows if you pay in dollars.
Steam is still much better though, you get the Golden Week discount + regional pricing + additional discounts for bundles like XIIZEAL & DELTAZEAL, Mushihimesama Matsuri Pack or Deathsmiles with 3 Soundtracks at bonus -30%.

Maybe good for you. If I want great regional pricing I could move to South Africa to get the best deals *eyeroll*

Thanks for the heads-up!

And for the heads-up for the upcoming Steam sale. I guess I'll wait and see if the Dariusburst DLC packs go on sale over there. They had one in the winter sale for the game and every DLC pack for $50 (the game's regular price) that I'm still regretting not pouncing on...

Stella Vanity is 90%-off on DLsite until tomorrow
(as far as I know this is the only site where you can legally purchase this game)

there's a general sale going on the site right now, so there are some other shmups discounted as well

The itch.io bundle for Racial Justice and Equality has over 1,400 games for a minimum of only $5.00. Here are all the shmups I could find
Bold designates a game that has good rep in the STG community, or look very interesting to me.

Traditional 'Rausers/Sinistar-Like Experimental All games in the bundle are DRM free, as I know some here care about that. There are no steam keys given for any game purchased in the bundle fyi.

I'd just asked about that on Twitter. Thanks for that list, very useful list of what's there AND what's worth a look!

Big Switch e-shop sale: Raiden V, Pawami, Vasara, Psikyo Alpha and Bravo, Sisters Royale, R-Type Dimensions, Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone, etc, etc, etc.
Basically, if there's something you want for Switch, do a search, 85% chance it's on sale.
