The real crime here is that Terrace House is watched by anyone. I got 2 minutes in with another ex-expat. We made it about 2 minutes in.

No, she was hounded on Twitter for months, people wanting her to die from the cornavirus, or to just die. Some wished she'd hurry up and die, a sick situation all around.

Image This was just one of her harassers.
Image Another one.

Well it did get picked up by Netflix for international distribution and saved by the company when doing so. So I guess a lot of folks like it. But I'd never wish anyone who's ever taken part in it to die. There's no excuse for telling somebody they should die.

I am a subscriber to that. However, I'm also a subscriber that you need to treat any random feedback on the internet as a bunch of 0's and 1's at best. Bullying is a real thing, and an even realer thing in Japan. It scares the fuck out of me as a parent of a child there. Hoping at some point there can be a role model who is a bit of a nerd, and says "all these shit heads on twitter and 2ch told me to die, so I told them to fuck off".

On a serious note, this is why Japanese needs F-bombs and sarcasm. Without them the only way to really show disdain is to raise your voice and tell people to die.

Funnily enough, his name may be best-known to those who played a lot of arcade games and saw his name on the "Winners Don't Do Drugs" attract screen: former FBI director William Sessions, dead at 90.

This reminded me that David Dees died a few weeks back. He's the guy who made um... "interesting" political cartoons.

The world will be a less interesting place without him in it.

... Richard Cheney is doing great however. He'll outlive all of us, once they invent that immortality serum.

Dame Vera Lynn, 103 years old. Blimey, all these years and documentaries later, I'd no idea she was still alive. Good show ma'am.

Possibly better known to a few of us here as the lovably cum-spewing Ash from Alien. RIP good sir.

We lost another director, Joel Schumacher. I was never really that big on the guy, though I did appreciate Batman Forever and Batman & Robin for being the most lighthearted and comedic Batman movies out there before they went back to being dark and gritty with Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. But my favorite movie from him was Bad Company, starring Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock.

Blimey, didn't know he was quite that old (80). Always imagined him more in Michael Bay's generation.

Ghislaine Maxwell, aged 58, tragically committed suicide next week via triple ninja backflip onto a pile of ricin while shooting herself repeatedly in the back of the head.

Hugh Downs at 99, big time newscaster, and Carl Reiner at 98. Both lived long full lives I suppose.

No, but another Glee actor killed himself last year as I recall.

I imagine a lot of these kids/teeny-bopper show actors/actresses are seriously fucked in the head. Just look at the basketcases that Nickelodeon has produced - still hoping for a full recovery for poor Amanda Bynes. Hard to be healthy in the showbusiness, especially when surrounded by sleazo producers like Dan "Show Off Your Toes or your Show is Canned" Schneider that seem to inject their fetishes into kids' tv.

Haruma Miura, best known for portraying Eren Yeager in the Attack on Titan movie. Ruled as a suicide, apparently.
