You have no player name listed for the Sengoku Ace Tengai replay. According to Gemant's database, the player name is GGE-VXV: https://web.archive.org/web/20160329163 ... est/s.html

Thanks, added!
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
The opening post is now Perikles-free! Finally came around to update all links.
As for edusword, I have kept the videos verified by marp.

Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
So, does Plasmo have any intentions of video capturing a run of Pink Sweets which could be submitted to this thread or is he following in the footsteps of his Japanese friends by replay hiding?

A great way to ask for replays is to be an aggressive cunt, right?

Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
I never did reply to this because this comment baffles me, but I'll reiterate the obvious: I shouldn't have to ask for a replay. You'll never hear a speedrunner say they got WR in a game without providing video evidence. The fact Plamso claims a high score without evidence for all to see, that he didn't hook up a capture device to his cabinet, is a conscious and elitist decision. I'm not saying he didn't do it, rather that a lack of replay is just one more reason this "community" is more like a "clique" than anything else. You can't give me any rational answer for why there is not an available replay for that score outside of what you said on the Calice Cup Discord server that not all information is for everyone, which again is a way to perpetuate the elitism in this genre.A great way to ask for replays is to be an aggressive cunt, right?
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
There's no established culture of replays being mandatory, and capturing from PCBs is much less simple than capturing from consoles. Not all information is for everybody because why should it be? In an ideal world, all information is shared to everybody, but everyone has different motivations and ideals. Imposing your ideals on others is rather self-centered, isn't it?

By this logic, we should gatekeep information about how to learn computer languages, maybe you shouldn't be a programmer. Why do you not understand how stupid this is?Not all information is for everybody because why should it be?
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
I learned things through self research and reading published material, not demanding people tell me how to program.

Plasmo: "Here's a bounty for whoever can show to the world how superplayers can score in DDP so high!"trap15 wrote:Imposing your ideals on others is rather self-centered, isn't it?
Also Plasmo: "No, you can't see my WR run but I deserve credit for it anyway."
Loud words from people who apply their own ideals so selectively.
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
1) nobody's demanding credit
2) those aren't at all related so why are you comparing them?

The Shinden replay for Strikers 1945 II seems to no longer be available :/
Sucks, would've really liked to see that one. Do you know if there are any others online?

The Bakraid replays you've posted are already in the main post. Or am I missing something here?
As for the Strikers replay, thanks for letting me know. Ask and you shall receive, main post updated.

Oh, I'm stupid. I just searched for "Bakraid" and I didn't notice it brought me to Shepardus' post, which didn't have those replays of course.Plasmo wrote:The Bakraid replays you've posted are already in the main post. Or am I missing something here?

Thanks a bunch for the Shinden replay! Such a cool ship

The P-38 Lightning from Strikers got some love
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
Thanks, added both!
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
The current link to the Raiden replay from the old Aces High DVD set seems to be unavailable. Here's an alternate link:

Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
Thanks for the link and letting me know the old one is dead! I have added a better replay for Raiden instead. Higher score and reaches 4-6 instead of "only" 3-5.
Re: Highest scoring replays available (resource topic)
"only" 3-5
Nice! Thanks for uploading.
That 4th loop looks ridiculous. And he actually gets restarted after death too. It seems like there are two approaches between this and the older replay. HAM HAM does checkpoint milking early on using up all his lives and then has to no miss to the 10,000,000 + goal, implying that he is going for the quickest 10M possible. WTN hoards lives and goes for the highest possible stage he can reach. Both amazing feats.
That quality on the Aces High DVD reupload though. WTF? Luckily I still have my old copy of that DVD and strategy guide laying around.
