Actually, you can now play the steam version offline all thanks to somebody mentioned in the steam forums that the GOG version's .exe (and a .dll) can be dragged into the game folder and there you go.

However...be warned that any progress off the steam version (if any) when doing this, will make you start from scratch. So don't do this unless you're new to the game or backup your previous save file and copy/paste to the game's save folder(s). So, in two easy steps...

1. Backup your save from steam/steam/userdata/<user-id>/386770/remote/save" then copy/paste the "save" folder to...

2. "AppData/Roaming/MOSS/Caladrius Blaze/save", after that, your previous progress for the offline mod should be intact.

In case anyone here's missed it, Ruiner (really nice detailed graphics, cyberpunk type game like a more violent version of Nex Machina crossed with Deus Ex) and Nuclear Throne (heard good things about that as well) are FREE on Epic Games Store just now until the 14th.

Ugh, I've been wanting to check out Ruiner. And I guess installing Epic is a small price to pay. But... ugh...

Anyway, it's the time of year where this thread is going to get active. Currently play-asia is running a big site-wide sale. Darius and Psikyo collections are $5 off. And lots of other things are marked down varying amounts. Go and blow your paycheck...

PSN USA is having a "Remasters & Retro" sale. A number of the ACA Neo Geo / Arcade Classics and other games have been discounted, including these shmups:

Aero Fighters 2 - $3.99
Ghost Pilots - $3.99
Zed Blade - $3.99
Armed F - $3.99
Moon Cresta - $3.99
Terra Cresta - $3.99
NOVA 2001 - $3.99

Konami Arcade Classics Collection - $9.99

ADK DAMASHII (w/Twinle Star Sprites) - $4.49

Bought Aero Fighters 2, Zed Blade and ADK DAMASHII myself. I've heard mixed things about Ghost Pilots and the Cresta series.

Ghost Pilots is just an ok Toaplanesque, nothing to go out of your way for. Zed Blade is pretty rad, just picked that one up myself! BANGIN CHOONS  from Manabu Namiki (featuring possibly the greatest boss warning siren ever), and some fast-paced multi-angled shooting to go with it.

Radirgy Swag is 1300 yen ($13) in the jp e-shop. It could be another year until your dispatch pre-order ships, so you may just want to grab the jp version now that it's a little cheaper.

Currently on sale on UK PSN for £5.79, down from £20. Actually bought the JP physical at release, but it's currently far away so this was nice.

Steel Empire is currently half off on Steam ($7.50). I haven't seen it go on sale often, so now's a good time to grab it. Not sure how long this will last (I picked it up on Wednesday), but it's still discounted as of this writing: https://store.steampowered.com/app/563260/Steel_Empire/
