Small MVS PCB variations ok?
I just checked my Zed Blade PCBs against mvs-scans and there are some very small differences between the lettering on my ROMs and the lettering on the scans. Like a 5 instead of a 6 for example. A couple of the small chips have more extensive lettering differences. Otherwise they look the same and no EEPROMs. Normal?

Might be, otherwise maybe it had some chips replaced, can happen, and it's alright so long as the game works fine. Only thing is for resale this might hurt it, some collectors want full on original components as a sticking point.

I am looking for totally original but these look pretty good to me although they're different to the mvs-scans ones in the way I described but no sign of resoldering that I can see.

That's definitely an original cart.
It's the first line you want to check (076-XX for Zed Blade). The second line is probably some batch number and that can vary between carts.
