While adding the SNES dejitter mod to my SNES Jr. I accidentally ripped off the solder pad for the C5 capacitor (image follows). I believe this the decoupling capacitor for the S-CPUN A chip. Any suggestions on how to best repair this?

Re: SNES Jr. Repair
Looks like the right solder pad is ground so solder the capacitor back in place and solder a wire from the right side of the capacitor to ground.

That did the trick. Thanks!

I had a similar accident occur... only rather than break off a pad, my C5 capacitor crumbled to bits Would anyone here by chance know the value of C5 for replacement? Would it by chance be a 0.1UF 10% 50V 0603 Multilayer ceramic SMD capacitor? Thanks in advance for any feedback

Sorry to bump this old thread, but I accidentally tore off the opposite side of the C5 pad (Not ground). Does anyone know where the other side leads to? I tried Googling, but couldn't really find anything.

You can probably scrape just to the side of the pad where you see the green solder mask and reveal a bit of the trace. Solder to this directly or use a helper wire.
If it were me, I would scrape and bridge it to a piece of copper tape then lay down new capacitor. Should hold fine even without the tape.

Here's the best part, C5 isn't even the cap you were supposed to change.
It's C11. Good luck.
