I have one of those cheap DAC's for my SNES' digital audio mod. It's powered via USB. Problem is, pretty much every method of powering it produces a degree of interference/hiss in the output. The only method of powering it, that gives me a pretty clean output is via a Samsung USB phone charger.
Now that's all well and good, but ideally, I don't want a socket on my power strip taken up solely by the DAC since I have a few difference devices that are powered by USB (HDMI switch, VGA to HDMI converter)
I tried plugging a USB hub into the Samsung charger to get multiple outputs, which works, but also introduces noise into the DAC's output.
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced USB power supply that will give me multiple outputs but won't introduce noise in my DAC's output?

Re: USB power supply for audio DAC
I can't yet confirm or deny whether it's a good idea. One thing I'm experimenting with is DC barrel plug to usb adapters. At which point you can use any 5V DC power supply and potentially use barrel splitters.
Barrel to Micro USB for the most common connector I have.
Barrel to Female USB A which I can pair with whatever USB cable I need if it's not micro.
