I've had a lot of fun with this, especially when sharing my eyeballs between stream & chat. Congrats to Gus and thanks to everybody associated!

Mesmerizing performance by Gus, congratulations to him and to the guys on the couch as well, who did a great job explaining the game amidst all that hype (and hell).
I think that this has definitely opened the door for more STGs to be featured in future events like AGDQ.

I thankfully caught the end of the live run on twitch when GUS was approaching Larsa (I've since watched the whole thing). Was cool to see so many people from outside the community following the run and cheering him on.
About to watch the Interview. Mad props to GUS for getting CAVE's attention and being their guest, well deserved!

Poor guy is aiming for 5 billion on 1.5 ultra. Cave should hook him up with a patch that doesn't counterstop before 4 billion.CStarFlare wrote:I hope he smuggled out red label.

Gus get a great mention in latest issue of Edge #342 page 16.
Nice one

Speedrunning event Games
Done Quick is, most often, a
place where runners exploit
the invisible workings of a
game to break it so utterly
they can finish it in record
time. Rare is the run that
focuses almost entirely on
physical skill: Gusto’s run of
bullet-hell game Mushihimesama Futari this year, then,
stood out. His elbows
propped on a pillow, his face
inches from the screen, Gusto
guides his spaceship through
near-solid waves of bullets,
threading the needle over
and over again with ludicrous
precision until we’ve forgotten
what a hitbox even is.
Nice one
