Is this the place to team up ?

Any serious blender artwork specialists here to make a few low poly tech shmup games for fun ?
I can compose music and program, i need custom artwork ( from you ) because i dont want to spend to much time before releasing any game.

What is needed : 3D meshes ( lowest poly as possible still looking nice ).
What i have : game logic.
What i make : music, 2D artwork.

The meshes need to be suited for in game fast fps, no needless polygons, especially no smoothing.
I know what amateur work looks like : i can make that myself.

The most important thing to make : the player ship.
For the rest a unlimited supply of enemys.
Ofcourse some bosses.

All artwork is to be re-used and modified for later projects.
If the project fails there is something learned.

The games will be for windows directX because there is no way to program for PS4,
if anyone knows how to get this started for PS4 i would like to know what is needed.

I'm knee-deep in my own projects so I can't join any other's.

But just wanted to point out that engines like Unity, Unreal and I'm sure many other's support building to PS4.


It's quite unusual to code in a specific framework today when you have engine's that can effectively build to almost every platform.

Highly recommend you consider that as it expands your potential platforms for release. Good luck!

Having a engine does not say you can release a PS4 game.
Using unreal or unity is a waste of resources for a SHMUP.
I half made my own SHMUP engine, it loads and runs faster then any unreal unity, specially made to run in older computers,
only after some windows 10 creators update made it crash.

DirectX is the way i do for now, only it is not backward compatible, i better have PS4 dev kit instead.
Retro gamers use consoles not computers, you still have a XP computer around for backward compatibility ?

Suppose i mail sony i get no answer back.
No one in this site using directX ?

Anyways we can still work together if you need sfx or music studio quality not laptop, you give me some meshes.

I'll re-iterate, the best way to develop for a console (or all of them) is to pick an engine and go from there.

I'll also add that not many artists are having trouble finding indie projects to be a part of.

There are a lot of great artists, and a lot of great indie games being developed.

My advice to that end is to try to actually befriend a like-minded artist and not treat them like they're a tool to get your game done.


I say this because I've seen a lot of programmers (myself included) treat getting an artist almost as an afterthought.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, as the saying goes.

A Static IP address (required for access to SIE developer and publisher websites)
A non-public domain email address (Gmail, Hotmail, etc. are not acceptable)

What is that SIE developer ?, i hope not the compiler.

I can make a new game company website for the email adres, that is not the problem.
Hope they have some C++ examples.
