I picked up the bundle just for steel vampire and strikey sisters. I'm enjoying steel vampire so far. I find it pretty challenging, as it encourages you to be as close to the enemies as possible... you know, where the bullets come from. It gives you hardly any time to react. There is also a lot of powerups flying around the screen constantly that can confuse the bullet patterns. But I like the flashy visuals and the weapon powerup rpg elements are fun too.

Raiden Legacy and Raptor are available as part of a DotEmu bundle. If you kind of wanted them but didn’t want to pay basically anything this is a decent opportunity.

The Gundemonium trilogy of games by themselves and in a 3 game bundle (and unrelated, but by the same dev that also includes "Bunny Must Die") will be 50% until July 31st as Rockin Android stated that the games will be "Retired" (in this case, delisted, since I assume they chose not to renew the license for these games from the dev. Platine Dispisotif.)

This is for the Steam/PC version, BTW.

Looking at this weeks Switch deals makes it a good time for hori fans:

R-Type Dimensions EX - $8.99
(no description is probably needed)

Steredenn - $4.99
(a rougue-like hori that makes for a great reflex tester. Can't memorize patterns when everything is random. Unfortunately, all the graphics are done in giant "look how retro we are" pixels that I find ugly, but some very strongly disagree with me. Very strongly...)

Astebreed - $13.99
(Haven't played but looks to be at least partially a hori, and a rail, and a vert. $14 for everything ain't bad...)

Is the console version of Danmaku Unlimited 3 worth $5?

Mechanically it looks fun but it seems like the game has no personality at all?

That sounds like a $5 well spent. It's nothing groundbreaking and the scoring has its quirks, but otherwise everything is solid. The game has excellent flow that immediately puts you in the zone. It's fun, go for it.

Humble's having a Japanese (and Japanese-ish) games sale, a fair number of shmups on Steam are in there.
