The Steam port of Samurai Shodown 5 Special is incredible

Post by Ajora »

And I wish SNK would do more to promote it, but they seem way more keen on advertising for the reboot. This is something truly magnificent. There was a crappy port of this game released on GOG a few years ago from DotEmu who are infamous for their shit ports of good arcade games, but everything was recently rebuilt from the ground up by Codemystics. This port implements some very pristine rollback netcode, and I've yet to experience any online hiccups. Input delay is simply not an issue here. Everything looks and plays perfectly. SNK fighting games are the bee's knees.

There was a time, in the era of great chaos, when the Earth and the moon were at war with each other. A daredevil from the moon piloted a bizarre aircraft. It was feared, and because of its shape, called... Einhander.

Can't quite say. This has basically served as my introduction to the series.

Tangential, but me and Esper are dabbling with fixing Last Blade 2's 'translation'. Anyone familiar with what kind of encryption these games use?
