Version 1.01 - Normal
RLRBS - 9,681,510 - Stage 7 - Shasta

Choked on the last boss; goal is 10M+ ALL.

Also tried some 1.00 and it sure is more intimidating.

Version 1.00 - Normal
RLRBS - 5,252,190 - Stage 5 - Shasta

Thank you, Plasmo! I will!

Version 1.01 - Normal
RLRBS - A,109,920 - Stage 7 - Shasta

OK, got a letter score. Still not a clear, because I'm an idiot.
Meant to put Rose Hips to TURN, but forgot, then panicked and lost three lives to snakelasers.

(btw, EBR & Aquas are switched on 1.00 Overall board)

Added! Thanks for the correction, too!

Just watched your replay on the leaderboards. Really good stuff overall. With some stage 6 and 7 practice, a clear is definitely feasible.

Version 1.01 - Normal
RLRBS - B,551,480 - ALL - Shasta

Complete trainwreck final bosses, but still cleared somehow.

Version 1.01 - Harder
RLRBS - 7,021,260 - Stage 6 - Shasta

Placeholder.

I'll most likely focus on 1.00 Normal next, although it's going to take a while to get used to.
Have to completely relearn stage 6 in particular, because there is so many things you just can't do in 1.00.

Oh whoops, forgot to post that one here:

Arcade - Normal
Plasmo - L,698,970 - ALL - Lace

Got the world record for Pink Sweets on default settings! :)

Unfortunately, I don't have proper recording equipment but I'm figuring something out atm. Expect something sooner or later.

This credit was played on authentic hardware. Original PCB w/ candy cab. I can give you hardware specifications on it.

I have to make a choice between Stufnest and Tudela. Plus I might be Demo'ing Matsuri Mode at Stufnest. One is 6 hours away and the other is 18 hours away.
Great News that you will be doing a run or two. Hopefully I can watch a stream.

Thanks. Yeah, that train stage is pretty brutal. And not in a difficult but brilliantly designed way. It's kinda garbage in my opinion.

Nicely done SchoBoogie. That ST5 Boss can also be annoying (if you try and shoot it for instance).

Funny, I always thought the opposite. Stage 5 is the best stage in the game in my opinion. You can seal most of the laser turrets if you point blank them, and in 1.01 since you have 3 options you can feasibly use the Reverse and Back formations to block a lot of bullets. That makes the routing really interesting since you're constantly moving around the entire screen. I stopped playing the game after I realized that I was only having fun in stage 5, and stages 1-4 were just the chore I had to do to get to stage 5.

Anyways, good job! Stage 6 is a pretty big wall as well so I wish you the best of luck!

Yes, I definitely understand the routing, timing, blocking bullets, etc. For me though, I play SHMUPS because of how they feel. If done right, they will cause me to completely shut down all intentional thought and go to "the zone", "cosmic flow", "god" or whatever you want to call the state of being where you are effortlessly perfect for a period of time. I feel "the flow" more strongly in the Dodonpachi games. Some of the stages in those games are brilliant. They are poetry in motion.

I don't feel that at all in Stage 5. I just see a stage where the developer threw as much stuff on the screen as possible and forced you to learn the route and how to block bullets. There's so much stuff on the screen that it took me a while to even be able to identify things like the flame throwers, little white rockets, etc. All I do in that stage is consciously run a route. It never makes me go unconcious, or to god / the cosmic flow, whatever you want to call it.

Either way, we're all different. Maybe you see things in that stage I can't. Your scores are way better than mine so you must be doing something right!

Question...On the stage 6 final boss where it shoots the big lightning bolt lasers down....sometimes I can get it to start spinning and rack up more points and sometimes it just shoots down the lightning bolt lasers once. What's the trick to make it spin. Thanks. Probably not supposed to post that here. Sorry.
