Amen to that. Remember the saudi arabian sealed Radiant Silvergun seller, several months back? Pic of the game laid out on a tiger-pattern cloth? He kept refusing to actually sell, and repeatedly re-auctioned, even when bids went well over $300.

whats the betting the winning bidder never receives the item? ebay just seems to be getting worse these days, and much of the blame for this lies with ebay themselves.

I've had about 1400 sweet transactions and only about three bad ones. It's pretty easy to win with ebay if you've got half a brain. The bidder is in control all the way through.

This is sort of true. I've had pretty good luck on E-Bay but I've never purchased anything over $40, and only with people who have great feedback. I say, if anything looks or sounds even slightly weird, I just don't buy it.

nah, i recently won a auction for Gunstar Super Heroes GBA, which looked 100% kosher, the seller had 98.8% pos feedback, number of transaction in the 100's. the auction didnt mention anything about it being a bootleg. so, i won the auction and sent payment. then , the following day, i recieved a email from ebay, saying the item had been removed from the listings as it was an infringement on their trading regs or some such reasoning, with the added bonus that i could no longer post any feedback about the transaction, as all record of it had been wiped from the ebay records. so, guess what, the seller is "no longer registered" and now doesnt respond to any emails, so looks like im shit out of luck

this is what i mean about ebay ruining the site for themselves.

i just think that its become high profile in the media about how you can get away with conning people on ebay, and ebay will do nothing about it. so now its attracting all the scum bags. ebay should take legal action with anyone who infringes the trading regs, its just plain ol' stealing at the end of th day, and this would clean the place up.

Where was the item located? If it was Hong Kong that's a total no no. But buying GBA games sight unseen is a no no in the first place as it is quite widely known that the GBA bootlegging scene is completely outta control both on ebay and off. This has been discussed numerous times at this site and I'm sure numerous times at numerous other sites as well. GBA games should either be purchased new in the USA or Japan or from someone that you know and trust in one of those two countries.

Also, I would never in a million years buy from someone with less than 99% feedback. I know that guy was close, but close don't count.

About the negative feedback thing. Being that it's me who's in control when I buy, I've never had the need to leave a negative. As a seller I've wanted to a few times and didn't for the exact reason you mentioned. So yeah, that is an issue.

Whoa, this tool uses Ebay's URLs to allow late feedback, is that right? And since the seller probably wouldn't know about this thing, there's no link on Ebay for them to retaliate? If so, that's a wonderful tool right there. Thanks!

That is correct.

Enter an ebay name, and it will show you only the negative feedback. Good tool to find out about those who are good buyers but lousy sellers, etc.
