I never called you stupid. All I was saying was that prejudices of any kind are the mark of stupid/backwards/uneducated people. Just look at history.jp wrote:And yet the fucktards still buy the console. People complain about Sony's business practices, people talk about how they hate Sony, and yet... people fucking support them. Explain to me then, how it is that I am the stupid one. I hate Sony. I hate Sony's business practices. I will not support them. Other people hate Sony. Other people hate what Sony does. Yet they support them and give Sony the power to continue doing it. Yeah, I'm the stupid one.
My username is icycalm, you can see that to the left of this post. I don't think my real name is important here.jp wrote:And who the fuck are you to tell me what system has "tons of good games"?
Cool, good luck to you. I too have loads of collections to finish.jp wrote:I have a Saturn collection to finish, blah blah blah
No one does. We are all in the same boat. However, this is irrelevant to the subject we are talking about.jp wrote:I don't even have time to play the games I buy.
Your college qualifications are also irrelevant to this conversation, but since you asked, I have:jp wrote:So whats your college degree in again? Hmmm? I mean, I know I'm stupid for not supporting a company I hate, but... wow... amazingly enough I'm getting a degree in Optical Engineering, one of the rarest engineering degrees in the country, with a 3.5 GPA thus far and while in the program I'm helping out in research to put a laser on the moon to shoot incoming meteors.
But hey, you're real smart man, you got a PS2. That totally trumps any laser cooling research I'm into. Lemme tell ya.
a B.Eng in Aeronautical Engineering from City University, London,
an MSc. in Space Science from University College London,
and I dropped out of a PhD. in Aerospace Engineering after 1.5 years at the University of Washington in Seattle. My GPA before I dropped out was 3.75 and I was being paid to work as a research assistant on a Plasma Physics project.
You should know however, that intelligence has little to do with college degrees. The fact that my GPA was higher than yours, or that I have more degrees than you do, doesn't mean I am smarter than you.
What you should do in a discussion is attack ideas, not the people who are proposing them.
