i mean, i dont blame Degica for having difficulty managing such a niche product (really, its like nearly nobody gives a damn about game... but half of those who care were waiting for localization i heard.. me personally bought at launch even though i m not sure what menu does what sometimes), so, wtf, siliconera?
Wasn't us!

No, it's TATSUJIN. Unless you're playing the localised version!

Sweet! I wasn't expecting to see anything Toaplan in a recently released game.
Would there be more blog post regarding shmups about scoring, tricks etc. on blog.degigames? They were pretty cool
thanks
Thanks! Jump on Twitter and tell Nick that; he put a good deal of effort into writing them.
If he gets motivated enough, you might see more (any requests?).

Just a correction, I wrote a few of them (like Judgement Silversword I think), but most of the ones that are fairly in depth were written by guests, several from this forum.
If any of you are experts at any of our games and would like to write a guest post, be sure to contact me, we'd love to host some more tips from those who know the games the best!
It says that the Tatsujin game belongs to Tatsujin co. ltd along with Toaplan co ltd., which we all believed that the former went bankrupt and dissolved. Could that mean that the IP holder of all games developed and published by Toaplan are under the Tatsujin co ltd umbrella?
I'm still confused about the Tatsujin stuff, on this game.
Is it a stage inspired in Tatsujin? A character? A mode?
Or the full game, by any chance?
Edit:
It seems you can play with the Tatsujin ship.
The video description translation indicates that.
The grip of death that the Toaplan Licensee has on these IP's is kind of sad.
A collection of their arcade work remade by M2 would be glorious.
Anyway, Game Tengoku is looking great. I totally missed this release, i'll be picking it up on the JP psn store.
It´s also at 40% discount, at the moment, awsome.
The cheaper one includes Claris, an English translation, and some really minor extras. The expensive one comes with Tatsujin, a new arrange done by ex Toaplan employees, and other physical extras. Its all detailed on the product page. https://gameparadise2017.com/products.html
The existence of the standard edition is kind of baffling to me, maybe I am missing something.

Its all in japanese lol
I don't understand.
I'm wondering if the Tatsujin arrange is on disc or do I have to claim it via a download code?

The cheaper cost of the remix standard edition. While I love Toaplan, the extras on the Limited Edition is stuff that I honestly don't care about. It's also a big price difference, so I'll deal with the remix edition that's coming out in a few months.
So for owners of the original release, is there anything exclusive to “Special”? I’d rather just pick up the Tatsujin DLC than have to buy another physical edition.
I got the Claris DLC and an unused character voice pack with the original LE anyway, so I don’t think I’ll be double dipping for a new bomb. Good to know anyway. Thanks for the info.
pmp wrote:I noticed that the PS4 release of special is listed as TBD. Are there plans to release the game physically outside of Japan?
Yes, we just don't have a final date or price yet.
Good to hear it's still on it's way! I've been looking forward to this one.
It's almost sort of a system seller for me. This and Disaster Report 4 have been my most wanted games, I wish we'd hear something about an English release for that.
Knightmare wrote:Just to clarify, are there plans for a localized physical release of the super special limited edition, not just a barebones disc release?
I would send Dispatch Games an email. Got a strong feeling it's their next release.

Yes, there are plans for both a limited edition & standard.
Both will be the 'Special' version of the game.
Sorry if this has already been answered in the thread, but is the Tatsujin's waifu pilot a retcon of Tom-The-Bomb? Or is it just a same ship, different time, different pilot thing?
