Ed Oscuro - 509,900 - MAME Plus! x86-0.135r4465-20091104 Autofire ON / 4
I got to the rocket launchers (again). Been working on this one occasionally for a while. It really profits from autofire, to the point where it feels pointless to play without because you'll just wear your hand out and still miss most point opportunities (in addition to tanks that appear where it's suicidal to try to take them out with a front-firing sidecar). I have a beef with the inconsistent way it treats enemy fire around buildings, and it likes to kill you with a single shot from the side when you have two orange sidecars; I recall dying in the same places for the same dumb reasons (and then it's to recover from dying in the desert).
I used to love this game for the NES back in the day when I was about 6 years old.
I bought the PCB a few months ago but never tested it out because my JAMMA connection is a little too small for some reason and I was too lazy to do anything about it. Well, I busted out the Dremel and alleviated that problem. This is a really fun game. Probably one of my favorite PCBs I have, and of course it's the cheapest! ($50), oh the irony...
I found this in a bowling alley in Berlington Washington. I didn't have time to play it though.
You're sure to be in a fine haze about now, but don't think too hard about all of this. Just go out and kill a few beasts. It's for your own good. You know, it's just what hunters do! You'll get used to it.
I got this PCB for my cab now as well!
Turns out I'm not as good as I was on this 30 years ago. It feels much freakin' harder than I remember as well. It's not just that I got the bomb button above the fire button (yeah, don't ask).
Now I got 562,300 so I moved up one spot at least.
