Time to give Gator another watch. Wasn't Burt supposed to be in Tarrentino's new film?

I have an album on FB that is inspiration of sorts. About a month or so ago I graced it with a still from Burt rocking that vest. I mean, 40+ years and it's not been emulated in the least.

Veteren Japan TV/Film actress Kiki Kirin passed away at the (relatively young for Japan) age of 75. I'm quite unversed with Japanese film stars but caught her in the few Koreeda films I saw. She is in his latest, Palme d’Or winner 'Shoplifters', for which she has been receiving accolades.

This won't mean much to many people, but if you're of a certain age and grew up in the uk you will know who I talking about. Geofrey from Rainbow is dead.

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radi ... es-aged-76

Things like this make me genuinely sad these days. Who's going to looks after Bungle, Zippy and George?

Wow. I had completely forgotten all about this, but now that you mention it, I suddenly recalled this video. It's one of the first (non-flash) "funny videos" I've ever seen on the internet, many years before YouTube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgbcQIT7BMc

It's the first and only time I have ever heard about "Rainbow".

edit: Scratch that. I also own this CD. I never made the connection until now:

I only just found out. Jesus - this guy illustrated much of the one comic that I'm still dedicated to and I basically learned to read through 2000AD.

He was a heavy smoker so lung cancer doesn't provide much shock. His son also works in comics.

Stan Lee passed away today, 95 years aint bad though consider his appearance to comic conventions and cameos in the movies.
Still sad, he created a lot of comics and characters I love.

Well, there he goes... Looks like Venom is the last movie he’ll ever make a cameo. I was hoping he’d at least make one more cameo for Avengers 4. He might have, hopefully...

RIP Stan Lee. Spider-Man, Avengers, Hulk and Fantasic Four are good stuff. Loved his intros to cartoons like Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, as well.
