How to wire grounds on console end of RGB cable?

I am reworking a cable I've got so that the audio is broken out to work with my PC Engine IFU, but I can't figure out how I am supposed to wire up all these shields on the console end. If I twist them all together, I end up with a giant blob of ground that I can't possibly connect to the ground pin. I also tried doing basically the same thing, but this time keeping the blob farther back so I would have a thin wire to connect to the ground pin. Well, that all snapped apart, no real surprise there. How in the world am I supposed to fit all these inside a DIN plug? I must be missing something...
