Sacha Baron Cohen, posing as a retired Mossad agent, gets several Republican congressmen to endorse giving guns to kindergartners.
"Oh yeah? Well I wonder how your precious Bernie Sanders would handle Cohen?!!"
Funny you should ask...

Two working class dudes, one black one white, just baked a tray of ten cookies together.
An oligarch walks in and grabs nine cookies for himself.
Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

I remembered that Scots Wikipedia exists.
Spent a good ten minutes just reading some of the [sadly tiny] articles, because nearly everything is understandable to an English speaker, or can be [maybe correctly] guessed with context clues. It's fun.

Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

I dont know if it is wise to say it here, but since I am on anonymous nick name.. what the hell
After working on game industry since 1994, I finally got the funding to launch my own game company. I will develop AAA game for Nintendo Switch, unfortunately it is not a shmup, but it is my pet project none the less.
This has made me smile, among with many other emotions.
None the less, I will still continue to keep scoreboards for R-Type, Salamander, Hellfire and Saint Dragon, so keep em' coming!

Congratulations, man! Sounds amazing!
Sucks that you are trying to stay anonymous, cause I would love to hear what game it is.

Re: ... and it made me smile.
At this point it does not matter much; huge amount of intended AAA-projects never get to the shelves anyway. It is a long and perilous road. All I really have guaranteed for now is a studio and funding for a while, that is all.Sumez wrote:Congratulations, man! Sounds amazing!

If this ever gets to a point where release looks inevitable, I will probably show it off here

When you're going on a vacation to Croatia, where the weather in Winter and Summer is always the polar opposite, but it's somehow more pleasantly warm here than the rest of Europe, which is currently on metaphoric and literal fucking fire.

Seeing Omega Fighter on the eshop. It even includes the Special version along with a poorly named "Specialmode" version (not to be confused with the included Omega Fighter Special) that is pretty much a hidden debug version accessible via dipswitches.

Messed up my camera settings since I was rushed because of the clouds approching, so it's not very fine, but it was an interesting eclipse producing funny colors.

My label, not the one I co-own, has gotten a track on this week's Hearts of Space show. Currently listening and I can't stop smiling even though I'm well past the track from my label. It is the second in this week's show. http://blog.hos.com/2018/07/pgm-1189-deep-dub.html

Re: ... and it made me smile.
I just came back from a four day open air festival dedicated entirely to chiptune music.
Now, I'm not that much into chiptunes by themselves, but I love a ton of artists doing that stuff, or just deriving from it. And I love low-brow hobbyist indie music scenes.
The experience of being there is one of the most pleasant, therapeutic things that has happened to me in a long time.
There were only around 100 people there, with a majority of those being the artists performing (a line-up of ~40 concerts + an open stage), and everyone were happy. All the time. No sour faces, no drama, no things that went horribly wrong (aside from a kid losing all the save data from his LSDJ cartridge ). Hell, not even people with elitist stances on the right and wrong way to do things.
It was impossible to not be in a great mood there.
I know there's a terrible cliche of whenever people are interacting on the internet, they are much more likely to be assholes towards eachother because they can hide behind computer screens, and I always thought that was a bit dumb - because assholes will always be assholes, and I prefer them to be open about it.
But I gotta admit that I've become so used to online communication and heated arguments and whatnot, that I completely forgot how much more pleasant it can be to just hang out with complete strangers and only care about the stuff that makes all of you happy.
I feel recharged.
