Yeah I noticed the music is really low in the background compared to the fx. I'm guessing Zerodiv will release a patch soon.

The Switch port of Gunbird is uncensored, which might explain its CERO:B rating. There's no option to enable the original version of the music.

I don't like most of what Psikyo has released, but if they do physical releases (which they probably wont) I'll still buy them probably.

That sentence sums up game "collectors" pretty well.

Can you develop, which part could have been censored ?

Do I have to mention what wasn't censored? (Need to check the 2-player ending with Marion & Ash, though)

Yeah I would buy them in a heartbeat. It would be great to have physical copies in my collection.

Okay, I take that back. The Marion & Ash ending was censored. Part of Marion's body is whitened out. And the game wouldn't let me access the 2nd loop, probably because I set it on the lowest difficulty, Monkey.

I don't think we will see any more Zerodiv games until 2018 :(

Gunbird has been removed because it contained an exploit.

Wait.. What? I don't see any level editor in this game. This thread suggests that some sites are citing the same reason as to why Gunbird was removed. Am I missing something?

It was a level editor for the developers to use to bug test the game. I looked for the game on the eShop since I just got Switch and I was disappointed to find that it was removed.

It wasn't a "level editor" per se, it was debug functionality they forgot to dummy out.

Apparently ZG2 is out (in Japan), Strikers II to follow on the 25th.

Shit dude! I'm gonna have to get a Switch eventually (probably in a few years). Worth it for ZG2. Somebody ought to report on the quality of the port. PLEASE HAVE A STAGE PRACTICE MODE!!!

It might be just me, but Strikers 1945 II's soundtrack makes me think of an SNES Power Rangers game.

Switch is region free, in case anyone doesn't know, and it's easy to setup a Japanese account and purchase Japanese eShop cards. Zero Gunner 2 ran on NAOMI hardware, so it was ported to Dreamcast. Zerodiv's port of Gunbird doesn't appear to have a Practice Mode, and upon looking up a YouTube video and a quick Google search, think Zero Gunner 2 doesn't have one either.

Damn. DC version doesn't, either :(
The only way to practice the game is probably with demul (I think the only DC/Naomi emulator that supports save states), and my computer is way to shitty for that. Or continuing, I guess, but that's real inefficient. Still would probably be worth getting a switch though. Shaping up to have a lot of good games, and one of those being ZG2 is pretty sick.

If I'm correct, Zero Gunner does list English as a supported language. I think it's not unfair to assume it'll be coming to English speaking regions soon as well.

Can confirm it's out now in Japan. I haven't bought it yet but when I bought Gunbird and Strikers with my Japan account both were in English and when both were released in my region it showed as purchased on my regular account.

If you downloaded Gunbird on to the Switch platform before it was removed from the USA region eShop site, the next time you connect to wi-fi, a Gunbird update will be quietly downloaded and applied to it (rendering the debug functionality exploit useless). Just a heads up on this pressing issue at hand.

Does ZG2 Switch add twin stick controls? That seems logical considering it's an all range shooter, wasn't possible on DC...

That's not even a port as this point... it's practically a different game! Being able to collide safely with enemies is a key strategy in the game (hell, you can even kill the smallest zako simply by running into them), particularly when it comes to fighting bosses.

DC version prices to go through the roof... again.

Well shit, I can deal with some slight port inaccuracies, but yeah, that's insane

guess I'll stick with my DC copy until issues get patched if ever

doh. I wish I waited on buying Zero Gunner 2. I made a JP account to buy Gunbird and it was an impulse purchase to use up more of the eshop credit. I also bought ACA Magical Drop 2 since I didn't think of anything JP only I wanted to get. Frustrating that Gunbird was taken off the US eshop, but is available on the JP and EU eshops.

I don't know if I should even call that a low-effort port because it almost sounds like they went out of their way to change stuff (enemy collisions in particular isn't something that just appears out of nowhere).

Here's a video that confirms SFKhoa's observations. On this guy's second credit, most enemies stop giving green items and bullets start appearing out of nowhere.
