Just to be clear, I am only talking about emulated releases, not emulated games offered inside a non-emulated games.

This list is to help with avoiding buying complete emulated releases, like the Phantasy Star Collection on GBA (ALL 3 games offered on there are emulations), buying Metroid Fusion which also happens to have the first NES games emulated on it is not really a downer as the main interest was always Metroid Fusion.

Isn't that one part of the Collector's Edition? If so I already included it in the OP.

At least some of the titles on Megaman Anniversary Collection are emulations, right? Megaman 7, the Power Fighters stuff, etc.? Also, how do the PS1 Megamans work on GameCube? 1-6 are ports of the PS1 editions, iirc?

No. Master Quest on the GameCube was its own release (or rather, pre-order bonus), separate from the Collector's Edition. It has Ocarina of Time and the previously unreleased Master Quest version of Ocarina of Time.

Got it, added it to the list, thanks.

Most likely. I doubt it was ported

Weren't the two PS1 ports of FF Chronicles and FF Anthology emulated too? I'm not totally sure but I'd be curious to know.

You know I have no idea, I have both of these and can say that the performance is abysmal, during battles there is tons of lag/slow downs which shouldn't happen, it could be a side effect of them being emulations rather than ports, it could be that they are bad ports (TOSE isn't exactly known for their quality) or it could be as SCARTicus suggested:
SCARTicus wrote:They are ports. I think some of the slowness is related to streaming data from cdrom. I thought Chronotrigger was ported well, but the loading was a bit annoying. I wish that they had ported more of their SNES games, like Evermore.

I had always read that both square collections were emulated.

Metal Slug Anthology for PS2 and Wii.
Metal Slug 1-5 are done via emulation of the Neo Geo AES versions, while 6 is an arcade port.

At the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, it was confirmed that Metal Slug 3 would be released on Xbox Live Arcade on January 2, 2008. The game features upscaled graphics and co-op online gameplay, but it does not include the extra modes from console releases. This version was made backwards compatible on Xbox One in 2015.
So yes.
Not sure.
According to a metacritic review, this is a port and not emulated. Can't say for certain how reliable this source is this.

So yes.
Aren't they just referring to the fact that it can do 1080i on the Original Xbox?

Arasoi wrote:Rockman Complete Works 1-6 on PSX use emulation for everything but the music, which is streamed from the disc. The NES rom images just had their music disabled. AFAIK stripped down versions of RCW were used for Mega Man Anniversary Collection as well (with localized rom), which would make those emulated by proxy.

The Mega Man Anniversary Collection for GBA listed at the top was due for release but the game was canceled, AFAIK that rom has never been found or dumped either. Shame as it was to have colorized versions of MM I-V Gameboy.
Arasoi wrote:Additionally all of the Oretachi Geasen Zoku ports of arcade titles by Hamster for PS2 (Japan only) are poorly emulated by an ancient version of Mame from 1999.
Thanks.

Not sure. But online play isn't possible on the NeoGeo, so.
