It's a question of perspective. For anyone who has bought into the assumption of infinite growth (ie. everyone, whether they wanted to or not) then more consumption is always better. The same consumption as last year is a disaster. Less consumption is unthinkable.

People (and organizations, governments) put money into social security, pension funds, 401Ks, etc. and expect returns. Where do returns come from? Not sure if you're kidding, but I'd be stunned if anyone with a degree in genetics believes that intelligence isn't genetic or that Mother Nature distributed the best stuff evenly to all ethnic groups out of a sense of social justice. Illegals can get all sorts of stuff, dude. They just have to know where to go and who to talk to.

As one example, driver's licences. More than a few states decided that dealing with stolen/spoofed socials wasn't worth it anymore and decided to just let them get licenses (of course, on the full faith and assurance that they'll purchase insurance).

As for tax cuts, I have some split thoughts on the issue. On one hand, the lower corporate tax rates of other countries makes America uncompetitive in many aspects (China's sitting at 25%, US is currently at 38.9%) and it is a necessary step to repatriate both money held abroad by American companies as well as jobs. On the other hand, there's no doubting that most big companies don't give the slightest shit about actually doing either of those things. Google, for example, fancies itself a "global organization" (which becomes even more hilarious when you consider that they've been a CIA pet project since the beginning) and considers itself above such petty matters as employing citizens of the country that allowed for their success to begin with.

Basically, we need to pursue a bunch of anti-trust cases against the biggest companies in America (many of which are de-facto government or political institutions anyways) and stop with the hiring practices that are suppressing wages and contributing to citizens being under/unemployed (H1B's, hiring illegals, etc).

Small businesses though definitely need some tax relief. Maybe there's be more choices than Target or Walmart if we didn't make the barrier to entry so ridiculously high that only venture capitalists can afford to own businesses.

Oh, and someone mentioned net neutrality. This ties directly in to that. As it stands right now, NN = Google, Netflix, and co. laughing all the way to the bank. Repealing NN = Comcast laughing all the way to the bank. Whoever wins, we lose. Though if we could get Comcast's teeth out of the necks of state and local governments across the US, we wouldn't even have to worry about this, really.

This information is important because of these resentment-fueling excuses. The Jews have overcome much persecution throughout history (you might've heard of a fairly recent event), the Japanese have overcome having their country reduced to rubble, internment camps. But slavery 150 years ago and segregated fountains 60 years ago is responsible for Chicago today. There are far more blacks in western countries than there are Jews in the world. They have access to our libraries and the best universities in the world. The bar is lower for getting into those universities.

I even mentioned it in my previous post, yet you seem to have completely glossed over the lack of practical examples for modern civilization in most African cultures. Jews often lived as bankers and merchants because it was what their parents did to get by, who in turn passed that knowledge on to their children. The Japanese overcame the nukes with huge amounts of US aid and because Japan had some sense of infrastructure and urban planning even back then, throwing money at Africa now will only funnel that money towards corrupt politicians and druglords, but it could have helped in the past before corruption seeped in.

Africans would have been better off if they continued living as tribesmen without interference in the shape of foreign business interests, such as diamond mines, oil refineries, and poachers. And maybe they could naturally adapt to the rest of the world over time. The abrupt change from tribal societies to more Western societies after the colonists settled in didn't do a lot of good in terms of parents handing down knowledge to their children, it's not like you have a lot of freedom as a slave or farm worker. Especially not after the colonists left, as none of the wealth or knowledge even trickled down to the natives whose time was mostly spent on working hard enough to survive another day without getting whipped, and then you're only left with puppets and suck-ups taking the position of Great Leader, or pointless ethnic cleansing just like in the good ol' days. Without any examples or common knowledge to fall back on, and education being practically non-existent, there's not much of a future to be found here. This situation is not something (genetically) inherent to Africans.

Pertaining blacks in the West, most of them don't even have the same starting money like the Jews do. Required money to pay tuition fees, required books, and crippling student debts. That's not even factoring in the self-perpetuating culture of crime and police crackdowns after decades of discrimination, as not a lot of people feel like they should bother excelling in a world which they believe actively works against them, despite current year diversity hiring efforts. It's kind of pointless when you're not even remotely qualified to get hired in the first place, you can only lower the bar so much.
