Hey guys! Sorry I've been so quiet the last few months here...
It's good to be back!
Looks like a brand new HTML5 based Darius game has dropped!
https://rgames.jp/games/darius-the-origin
Can't get it running due to it being "Not available in my country" but I'm sure there is a way to spoof that somehow.
Can someone check this out and see if it can be done or not? Maybe some impressions by the users here as well? Let me know, thanks guys!

Re: Darius: The Origin (Rakuten Games)
Well nevermind, I figured it out using a VPN to trick it into thinking I was in Japan.
It's basically Darius 1 with a F2P aspect to it. You don't have to register, you can actually just play as a guest and it will still save your stats when you leave the game. (Gold coins, Lives, Shields / All timer based unless you pay to regain them quicker) Then you can use the coins to buy upgrades to your Silverhawk.
Getting an account only gives you access to bringing a friend along and to get special daily gifts and such. It's not really a bad game, it just uses a lot of the assets from the first Darius game. You can play 2 different modes, the first is a condensed version of the original game with shorter levels and easier bosses, and the second mode is a boss rush with an interesting difficulty cycle based on certain times of the day. You can look at the scheduled times to see what difficulty will be when and then play accordingly.
I would say check it out and see if you like it, and I still would not mind hearing some opinions about it from others here in the forum.
It's a neat little F2P take on an already great game!
